#94, "Beastmaster kinship"

Having played a few beast masters I always felt that serpent kinship should be 1 round lag instead of 2 and that bears were superweak at all levels.

C'mon Santy, make me happy this year.

3 beastmasters and this is the one change that makes sense so that the skill is used as more than just 'serpentkin to get the paralyze effect'. I would use it more for the other outputs.

It would also make it so you can spam the crap out of it, and have a decent chance at keeping the paralyze effect up on your victim permanently.

So long, and thanks for all the fish!

given that most of the time victim will leap out of the way
or you will be unable to contact any snakes or the snakes will do straight up damage

i'd rather the effect be random and NOT stackable and lag being 1 round
or the outcome of the skill itself be controllable than the way it works now since i've found it completely useless and a waste of 2 rounds with all my beastmasters.

so here is what beastmasters are all about:

bear (bad, there is 1 mob you can tame at mid levels that has the good points of bear without the bad)

snakes (useless)
wasps (useless without the edge)
predators stance (where is the damage multiplier? it's meh with 40-50 dr)

wolf (good)
tame (don't make me laugh)

My drow found these things worked well.

Predators stance in particular is VERY nice. It's basically like being hasted or something, in terms of your attacks getting through and pouring out some damage.

Should you go for brawling as a beastie? If so, what is the easiest way to rank up elbow/knee/kick?

I think I wore brass knuckles too (from Keep of the Fhaulgash or whatever it's called).

Elbow etc. are all easy to learn. You just spam them while ranking.
