When limited containers poof, could you replace them with an unlimited container (even if it has lower capacity), so that as things are taken out it returns to the capacity of a less limited container?

That would allow people not to lose the contents.

e.g. Girdle of endless space, capacity 100, filled with 90 units of stuff. It poofs, and is replaced by a knapsack, capacity 60, with the same 90 units of stuff.

You take out 10 units of stuff, and then still can't put anything into the knapsack, as it is still filled with 80 units of stuff and has a capacity of 60.

No.

Yes. If a container is overmax all of the contents will now go into the corpse instead of disappearing along with the container.

This is one of the chances you take by using a limited container and I'm cool with that.

So long, and thanks for all the fish!
