#44, "On Strength and Dual Wielding"
|
STRENGTH Strength: A combat stat. Primarily affects how heavy of weapon(s) you may wield and the amount of weight you can carry. Also has an affect on how much damage you do (damroll).
Strength Carry Weight Wield Weight 15 150 lbs 15 lbs 16 165 lbs 16 lbs 17 180 lbs 22 lbs 18 200 lbs 25 lbs 19 225 lbs 30 lbs 20 250 lbs 35 lbs 21 300 lbs 40 lbs 22 350 lbs 45 lbs 23 400 lbs 50 lbs 24 450 lbs 55 lbs 25 500 lbs 60 lbs Dual Wield You cannot wield a secondary weapon that weighs more than 75% of your primary weapon.
Would it make dual wielding classes OP if granted you could only wield your total wield weight? So any weight in both hands so long as the total does not exceed your racial limit?

This is a main part of the dual wield design. Most people have a primary hand and a secondary. Very few people are truly ambidextrous, or take a lot of training to be able to fight that way. Would it be overpowered, doubtful, since warriors who specialize in a weapon are allowed to do this. I'm not a fan of making this an option for every single person who gets dual wield.
So long, and thanks for all the fish!

For weapon wielding weight, I only picture a guy with a huge muscly arm like Trogdor, and his secondary hand being a thin flimsy "butler from Scary movie" take my strong hand! kind of thing.
I've had my storm giant with 24 strength wield an 11 pound sword in the main, and be unable to wield anything heavier. Sometimes I just want that one sword in the main, because of its properties or something. Noremove, etc..
