#331, "Help those of us that like to explore!"

Would it be hard to have a percentage of thera explored? (i.e., # of rooms you've been in/ total number of rooms in CF)? Or something like that with areas? (15 areas you've been in / 32 areas total)

Would be neat to see that, as someone who's still got a lot to explore!

Yes...both would be hard to keep track of.

I take it the Exploration points found in PBFs isn't good enough for you? For example:

Quests Completed 29
Exploration Points Found 68

The way the MUD knows where you have been is very specifice, if they posted the specifics in your score it would let everyone else know exactly how explore points are calculated and it would be a race to hit them all like it is now with wands.

How it works is pretty simple. For the most part people have already mapped how much of each kind of exp you can get per area as well. The only thing that is somewhat hidden is how much each thing that gives xp is worth individually. Even than you can figure out if you want with spam quits.

Presumably that is a finite number and you can still "find" them even if they don't give you xp. Perhaps not.
