Not sure what Twist was thinking with this, but the new polearm in High Lords Keep....*really* doesn't need to prevent fleeing on prog. The heal is usually not that great anyways considering it gets severely reduced through protections. The polearm AP variant is already severely hampered enough (no orbs, cannot zap without casting, etc) and adding in a weapon that basically self-entwines is a slap in the face

Please remove this restriction - thanks.

First, it's Kastellyn, not Twist.
Second, this is exactly how the area writer wanted it designed (I mean we actually wrote a prog to do all that stuff).

So long, and thanks for all the fish!

Thought HLK was his for some reason.

Since "how he wanted it" is the answer I'd like to hear how they thought it was necessary to prevent fleeing because right now it basically makes the item useless in most cases. Self-entwining items aren't exactly great for Anti-paladins.

Granted I should probably just give up the polearm AP idea anyways given how crippled it is.

Firstly, you don't have to use that particular polearm if you don't want to.

Secondly, morosacharge should deal with being entwined, and there's always (assuming you're not blind or in a cursed area) excision to escape with.
