#127, "Gravesight enhancement"

Allow for two additional syntaxes:
c gravesight npc
and
c gravesight bodypart

The first shows any available, in-tact NPC corpses in the same level bracket as the spell normally does. This will give the necromancer some limited divining ability for tracking people down, and fits the class very well. Besides, you can already locate corpses and body parts with locate object.

The second is obvious. Bodyparts have multiple uses for necromancers so it makes sense.

Both methods are within the realm of the necromancer, and both can be countered by some attention to detail by anyone not wishing to be discovered. Also, and maybe more interestingly, they could be used against the necromancer.

Ready for coal.

I'm not sure why duplicating what you can do with locate object in gravesight is necessary.

So long, and thanks for all the fish!

To be fair, it would be nice only because necros don't get locate object...

I've added the ability to see NPC corpses to gravesight as that fits. The body parts thing really doesn't so I left that out.

So long, and thanks for all the fish!

Probably by design, but right now you can't "cast gravesight (npc corpse name)" and see through that corpses eyes, like you can with PC's.

If it's by design, consider:

1) It's a niche ability.
2) Anyone who sees the corpse look around will know a necro is eyeballing them and be wary (which I view as a balancing factor).

Thanks again for the change.

Since there isn't currently a way to target an NPC corpse like that, yes it's by design.

So long, and thanks for all the fish!
