#52, "Shifter ideas"

An edge to reduce shapeshift/revert lag

An edge to reduce mana cost while in form (this could be a lesser form of Spirit of the Nighthawk)

An edge to reduce mana cost of controls

Edges to re-pick major focus/minor focus next-to-last forms. Some of these forms can be quite useful even after you get your final forms. Then again, some of them can be quite useLESS, even BEFORE you get your final forms.

An edge to do something about the incredibly, insanely high mana cost of maintaining a minor focus air form in the over-area (I think I've seen as high as 130 mana per tick or more. Don't you think that's a little excessive?)

Make vampire bat's bite same lag as peck. It already does the same damage but takes longer to recover from.

Allow vampire bat to regain vision when shifting into bat form after being blinded while out of bat form. This could work similar to the way water breathing spell is suppressed while in form, but resumes after you revert, i.e. as a an osprey, someone casts blindness on you, so you shift to vampire bat and blindness is suppressed. If you revert or shift to any other form, blindness resumes. The same would be true for dirt, flash, eye jab, peck, camel spit, cobra spit, primordial goo (I caught this from an outlander once. I have no idea what's called), and anything else I might have missed the causes blindness.

I had some other ideas, but they seem to have slipped my mind for now.

We still haven't come up with very many that we're interested in doing. Leaving the list here as a reminder.

So long, and thanks for all the fish!

Rearguard edge - shapeshifter with this edge is more wary of his hindquarters and so is less likely to be surprised. (better save against hamstring, ambush, backstab) these are the skills I consider to be from behind.

Foreguard edge - shapeshifter with this edge is more wary of his forequarters and so is less likely to be surprised. (better save against dirt kick, cranial, blackjack, artery)

Midguard edge - shapeshifter with this edge is more wary of his forequarters and so is less likely to be surprised. (better save against boneshatter, impale, pincer, throw, bash)

something that could be crunched out to perfection maybe?

Mutually exclusive edges.
