#72495, "Guards."


          

I don't know how much work this would be but could you buff the level of arkam guards. Since they can be easily one rounded causing RP repercussions caused by a mechanical issue it seems only fair that either they don't go after criminals or they are buffed to a level that is reasonable.

This is the sort of situation where it'd be better if they were too strong versus being too weak.

I've got a single #### to give...and it's just for you.

There are a few different level ranges on the Arkham guards. The weaker ones happen to be posted at the gates.

From an RP standpoint, you can also opt to take the slightly longer route around the city or dive through the crypts to bypass a lot of the guards.

Fort has always been understood to be the newbie friendly cabal, newbies aren't necessarily going to know how to get around these guards. What we have is if they get wanted, something that will set their character back, even in a small way, all because they didn't know.

I'm for buffing the weaker guards, especially the goodie ones, not for those of us who want to take quicker routes, but for the guys who don't know the other ones.

They are just a couple steps away from an enemy cabal, which makes it completely impossible to avoid the area completely

From an RP standpoint, Arkham is arguably the most dangerous city in Thera. It only stands to reason that the guards there are a bit tougher than average, because they're (theoretically) fighting nasty creatures every single night. Especially the guards that happen to be protecting the one safe-haven for innocent people in the city.

They are right next to outlander, which would mean that they continually have new recruits who are weak because outlanders ravage the city. As well as it being dangerous because of the evil, Scarabs, being near too laying waste as they please. This is why the bells toll, and the screams commence in the night, as they all get into safety in theory .

Might be worth making them neutral (the guards) for balance reasons.
