#71877, "IMMteraction ideer..."

I think it would be fun (I'd do it were I an IMM) if IMMs disguised themselves as morts and walked among the mortals. You know, like greek gods did. You could join a ranking party, ask for mortal help, test roles, etc. Of course, they could reveal themselves or not at some point.

For cases where we don't care that it's apparent the actor isn't just another player we can use NPCs. This is great because everyone has fun, but it does mean players tend to put on their best behavior because they know it's us. That's not ideal for the same reason Zeus, as a poor weary traveler, doesn't announce himself as king of the gods before seeing whether the mortal is kind to him.
For those cases, we typically just rely on snoop to help inform us to who people are being great because they want to.
In both scenarios pretty much everyone involved is having a good time.
But I'll echo others in saying that I don't think having us come down there incognito is worth the headaches it would cause, especially given the (good) alternatives.

Could make a mob that's disguised as a mortal, maybe. Take what you'd normally see when looking at a PC and put it in the mob's description. Not sure it would be possible to get it 100% though.

But I think there can be signs a mob is an imm.
When scarab took control of my necro's Golem, it became dragon sized, which I could tell from using the consider command.
Might be easy to work around but also things like that could be give aways.
And a mob wouldn't be on the who list.

I doubt the imms would want to get involved in PK.
It would be pretty suspicious to have a character who is your level not showing up in PK, but, not also a ghost.
However... It would be kind of funny for some level 35 to roll up and think he's attacking another level 35 only to get smoke with ANNIHILATES in melee.

Imms do get involved in pk.
Have a look at Tsalantha's pbf and you'll see that she got pk'd by a mortal and a level 55 imm.
What actually happened is that I killed someone in his shrine by mistake, teleported away, then he transferred to me and bashed me down. I actually enjoyed it all because it fit well into the character's lifestyle.

Are those where you roll up to a group of mortals having a party and demand they grovel before you? (And then plague them all.)
