#71417, "Wrath suggestion"
|
I know people seem fairly happy with the 2 round wrath change but it's made 99% of paladins into champions and monks. Would you guys consider making essence of retribution give a 1 round wrath again?

They are still near unstoppable forces that can overwhelm much better geared/skilled players with just their base builds. They aren’t great at sealing though by design for all of that raw survivability and decent damage output.

I sort of like that idea.
Wrath was too good as is, on certain builds. Now some builds are just unplayable with the change. I exaggerate, but you get the point. An edge that maybe trades a small amount of damage and track/curse chance for one round wrath I think could put shield ded elves back into play.

Dispel is very powerful on paladins, who tend to have lots of allies to gank with.
And at the end of the day, you're just going to encourage every single PK-minded paladin to make a retribution focused role or pick a God they know will let them choose their first virtue, if you attach something as broken as 1 round wrath onto a virtue.
I think paladins are in a great place right now.

You're close-ish. It's made precisely 50.00% of paladins into champions and monks, with shield being the most popular of the four dedications.

They are all storm giants now, but they are there. The change killed off the elf shield paladins.

And he stopped doing that when they nerfed shield bash.
He moved on to champions. Like everyone else.

Technically bash protection changed then? Either way you can't shield bash people now that you could before.
