Now, if you put this spell on a neutral, they will be more vulnerable to wrath damage as a damage type, but that doesn't mean they are turned evil in order for a paladin to co wrath on them. That would be silly.

I know why that it looked like Rostrak was wrathing a neutral.. but it was not Rostrak but a Weapon he was wielding.. and it was not wrath.. but another supplication like it.. If the Immortals would like to know which one it is and the specs about this situation i would be glad to fill in.
I find it funny there is so much talk about this from Bholur.. hands down he whooped Rostrak.. but I am not about to sit and do something dumb. The last time I fought him.. I lured him into a no exit room (kinda dumb for him to walk into it) and then had to recall twice out of it while I widdled him down.
The other two times I killed him if he would have stayed and fought he would have won.. but he ran around like a chicken with his head cut off.. so I just followed around and Wrathed him.. (I would have been stupid if I didn't) Him sitting there cranialing me would have put me out.. but he would change tactics or miss and I would be able to heal and return..

Just curious, and might not be the place for this, but is there any "Save vs spell/power" chances in regards to this power? I'm not to big a fan of the power myself, but I'd think there should at least be a save chance against it.
And also a save chance for Insect Swarm on top of that!
I'm not sure if its just me or from past experience, but it seems like a lot of the abilities that are coming out lately just don't offer a chance to resist it, and you have to find away around it. Building a strong save suit of armor sacrifices in other areas, and would like to think that the cost/benifit of going that route is still there.

Yes. You get a save and if you make it, nothing happens.

Just curious, is there a point where more saves just becomes pointless? IE: Deminishing returns?

Yes, although if you're dealing with people with spellcraft or some other way to kick their casting level up it's hard (but not impossible) to hit the point of pointlessness, although diminishing returns is definitely a relevant thing.
Because INT/WIS are a factor in saves, you tend to have your saves as good as possible or close to it a lot more easily as a smart character than a dumb one.

Nope, although there's two saves: one for damage/curse and a second one for track the wicked.
Or maybe it's one for damage and a second one for curse/track. I forget.

And I can post the logs too.
Why you guys spend time coding a ton of special abilities that only a handful of players get rather than fixing the glaring bugs and code errors we are all affected by is beyond me.

I did not know your character but from what you said you were a 1400hp 80 damroll duergar berserker?
How much chance did a thief/assassin have against you one vs one?

There's always something in the CF food chain that you won't stand up well against. There are things that kill this Paladin, Bholur just happened to not be one of them.

It was already a bad stack combo wise prior to the character getting a skill/sup that is only imm-given.
Only given out by staff. By definition its a special power that further imbalances what was already a bad matchup.

So, maybe in the fact that the skill is called "Divine Malison" this is true, however Phoenix brand, a Maran power does the EXACT same thing, and is in fact, not IMM given.
The fact that you are complaining so very hard about Rostrak killing you, actually makes me feel better about the _FACT_ that you did more than 600HP damage in a SINGLE round to me with 2 deathblows that are nothing more than RNG luck, the only command you typed was 'call bloodthirst' and I happened to walk into you and pow 600hp gone without you entering a command (yes I was in form with aura/stoneskin/shield).
From my point of view, you are (were) OP From your point of view, Rostrak was OP

Maran orb and village head can be taken. Anyways this is a dumb argument. I disagree with special rewards the staff doesnt. They are gonna win the argument but I still get to voice my thoughts. Ive done that and therefore Im out of the argument. Ive said my piece.

Ask Spiorra who stood toe to toe solo and did well.
A better analogy would have been "would thief/assassin players get pissed if Bholur had a power that made you double your vuln."
That said Rostrak wasnt why I deleted but it is an example of immortals handing out rewards which further skew already bad matchups.

When the reward was given out, divine malison would have had no effect on you whatsoever, because you were already vuln_wrath. The damage code changes, however, made it possible for you to be more vulnerable than you already were.
I do not believe the Imm in question knew that this would occur (the damage changes in general, that is). At the time, though, basically what was given to Rostrak was probably not a huge reward. A very good one, yes (especially when combined with a holy damage weapon), but not as good as it became (especially against a duergar) with the damage changes.
Just something to think about.
