Chamber of Dark Magic 


(Charmed) A cackling ghoul with eyes of flame roams here, feeding on the dead.
(Charmed) A zombie of a storm giant lieutenant is here.

(Charmed) A gibbering ghoul hovers here in the shadows.
(Charmed) A flesh golem stands here.
(Invis) (Ghostly) (WANTED) Zorszaul is here.
Avendella is here.
(White Aura) A skinny man quietly commands his students in the art of death magic.

Zorszaul says 'The Great Lord was here for a moment.  Perhaps he still is. I felt his presence.'

Avendella says 'The Great Lord?'

Shokai uncloaks his presence.

Shokai says 'I assume he means me?'

Shokai glares icily at Zulghinlour.

Avendella takes a step back.

Zulghinlour uncloaks his presence.

Zorszaul nods.

Zulghinlour whispers 'I think not winged one'

Shokai says 'so Warlock...what brings you here?'

Zulghinlour flashes a wicked smile.

Avendella frowns.

Shokai says 'the carrion calls to you, as always...I see'

Zulghinlour lightly strokes his finger down the face of Avendella.

Zorszaul looks around the guild.

Shokai says 'Avendella...once long ago, I offered sanctuary'

Zorszaul says 'What transpires here?'

Zulghinlour says 'The souls of the damned call to me'

Shokai says 'I offer it again'

Shokai says 'silence Lich'

Zulghinlour throws back his head and cackles wickedly.

Shokai glares at Zorszaul.

Zulghinlour says 'Your path was forged long ago elf'

The faint of heart scatter as Pico swoops down in front of you.

Shokai says 'as for you Warlock...you'll not claim another, while I stand here'

Pico says 'actually, he meant me, birdy, but you two have your fun'

The weak peek out from their hiding places as Pico soars into the sky.

Avendella says 'I refuse your sanctuary, Phoenix.  I deserve what I take.'

Shokai raises an eyebrow.

Zulghinlour says 'I make no claims to the body...only the soul'

Zulghinlour runs a thick thumb down the edge of his axe-blade.

Shokai says 'none deserve what the Warlock offers.'

Zorszaul watches the proceedings with obvious interest.

Zulghinlour says 'Always room for another within the confines of this axe'

Avendella grows pale.

Shokai says 'even...him'

Shokai nods at Zorszaul.

Zulghinlour narrows his gaze, eyes ablaze with fire.

Avendella steps away from Zulghinlour.

Zorszaul beams a smile at the Lord of the Maran.

Brilliant silver fire leaps from Shokai's wings...and down his spear.

Shokai says 'is this truely the battlefield you would chose to fight me Warlock?'

Zulghinlour says 'She'll do you little good Maran'

Zulghinlour says 'The taint fills her completely'

Shokai says 'I care not what 'good' she is...I care for her soul'

Shokai says 'and, the taint is easily removed'

Shokai says 'it clings to the body, more so than the soul'

Avendella shakes her head and looks up at Zorszaul.

Shokai says 'her heart still beats as an elf'

Zulghinlour says 'I have long awaited our first true fight Maran, if it be here, I am ready...but the maidens soul WILL be mine'

Zorszaul says 'Even elves can change, Great Lord.'

You grin evilly at her.

Shokai smiles grimly....as silvery white fire leaps from his hands and hits Zulghinlour in the chest.

Zulghinlour staggers back under the force of the blow.

Zulghinlour whispers 'Is that all you have Maran?'

Shokai whispers 'that is not a fraction of what I have, Warlock'

Zulghinlour wipes a spot of blood from his lip as he rises up.

Avendella watches intently.

Shokai holds his spear ready...eyes fixed on Zulghinlour.

Zulghinlour charges the Maran, axes moving quickly to strike.

With a quick sidestep, Shokai avoids the charge...

Again bright silver flames leap from his hands and hit Zulghinlour.

Zulghinlour falls to the ground miscalculating his prey.

Shokai says 'is that all you have? Warlock?'

Zulghinlour winces momentarily, then turns to regard the Maran again.

Zulghinlour whispers 'I've yet begun Maran'

Shokai says 'you will not claim this soul...unless I lie dead'

Shokai says 'or her words offer it'

Avendella says 'Then let my choice be heard.'

Zulghinlour pauses momentarily, glancing to the maiden, then returning his gaze to the Maran.

Shokai raises an eyebrow.

Avendella frowns.

Zorszaul says 'You do not truly intend to yield, do you, my dear?'

Avendella says 'R ay pzfs zvt, Xyrkgyeygyc.'

Shokai snorts.

Avendella growls.

Shokai whispers 'So the Lord of Chaos still plays...'

Shokai sighs heavily.

Pico whispers 'You know, if you kill her, the tongue doth untwist....'

Avendella blinks innocently.

Zulghinlour flashes a wicked smile.

Zorszaul casually regards his pointing finger.

Shokai says 'nay, Warlock'

Shokai says 'nor you Lich'

Zorszaul says 'The price for using the black arts is death, is it not?'

Shokai says 'if the Maiden wishes death to release her tongue...I can do it'

Zulghinlour whispers 'It would only hurt for a moment...'

Avendella nods at Zorszaul.

Zorszaul says 'Is this not as the Maran are charged?'

Shokai smirks.

Avendella says 'Hjcwdpb?'

Zulghinlour casually regards the axe within his right hand, then the one in the left.

Shokai says 'Zorszaul...do you really wish to remind me of my quest?'

Shokai shifts his spear point to rest under the lich's skull.

Shokai says 'hmm?'

Zorszaul says 'Oh..  I was thinking of my quest really.'

Zulghinlour lets his gaze return to the maiden.

Zorszaul says 'I don't get to be offered redemption?'

Shokai says 'I would keep whatever suffices for a tongue still, lest I decide to destroy a soul waiting for the choice of Avendella.'

Avendella respectfully kneels before you.

Avendella says 'Take me'

Zulghinlour throws back his head and cackles wickedly.

Shokai stands back....brilliant silver flames leaping across the room.

Avendella closes her eyes and waits.

Shokai says 'it will not be yours for long, Warlock.'

Zulghinlour whispers 'Your flames may burn, but they will not destory me Maran'

Zulghinlour's axes get tangled up before he can try his move.
Zulghinlour's brutal attack misses Avendella.
Zulghinlour's defilement does UNSPEAKABLE things to Avendella!
Avendella is DEAD!!
You hear Avendella's death cry.

Shokai whispers 'not yet...'

Zorszaul frowns.

The massive iron axe 'Conquest' glows as the soul of Avendella is pulled deep into it.

Zorszaul utters the words, 'fuhjar ay abawuiahuaig'.
Zorszaul desecrates the corpse, severing its head and limbs!
Zorszaul scatters the corpse's organs in a circle around the body.
Zorszaul begins chanting the Dedications of the Damned.
Zorszaul siphons power into its phylactery!

As the Ebony Warlock takes the soul of Avendella...a bright silvery light flares over the heavens...

Zorszaul says 'Something to remember my student by.'

Flaring for a moment...then fading...as the Skyborn destroys the soul of the elf.

Shokai says 'I warned you it would not be yours for long, Warlock.'

Zorszaul frowns.

Zulghinlour collapses to the floor as the strain upon his axe is too much.

Shokai says 'you would do well to remember this Lich.'

Zulghinlour turns his eyes upwards towards the Maran.

Shokai cloaks his presence and disappears.

Eyes filled with blazing light, Shokai soars off to battle, his wings trailing fire.

Zulghinlour whispers 'This will not be the last time we meet like this Maran.'
