Can you move the mountain boogum or make it not aggro to lowbies? It's the one reason I hate picking emerald forest as a hometown.

The game is always evolving and expanding that it's nice to have a few things you can always come back to that are the same now as they always were. Emerald is just fine the way it is. There are easy routes to avoid the boogum.

You should be able to beat the boogum after you've ranked up a bit.
If you feel that killing it tarnishes your RP, you can always write a chapter about having to show the boogum which one of you is the higher predator in the forest.

There is a simple solution...don't pick Emerald Forest as a hometown. So long, and thanks for all the fish!

You can enter Emerald Forest from the north without having to cross the boogum.
You can leave Emerald Forest through the east edge into Violet Woods.
It's a nuisance, but you should never HAVE to die to boogum, even as a lowbie.

Couple things :
1) From inside that hidden room you can't scan out - so you can still walk right into him if he tracked someone assuming you can't cast invis.
2) Rabid gibberlings are aggro.
Its a unfriendly to lowbies hometown.

I didn't say otherwise.
But given it's been that way for a very, very long time, it's probably intentional and not an oversight.

Looking at the bug board I'd have to say that's a poor argument.

I'd be okay with making it such that it's not a hometown option if you say you're a newbie.
Or just removing it as a hometown option, but I'm sure that would piss somebody off.
