#2749, "Quest stuff"

if you were sent on a "quest" to get items, I was just wondering some general facts about things. Like if I was put on a quest to gather x,y,z - would it possible to identify them to know if they are correct? Will they be made up items not already in game(do they create them in regards to your quest) or do they already exist? Can you locate them? Are they was of detecting said items (similiar to detect artifact)? Will you be able to see the items? IE if they were on a mob would it be displaced somehow? Without a certain skill/spell how would you know if carried what you needed? Any clarification would be nice. Thanks.

Generally speaking for the Con quests I have been given in the past. They were all items related to my role, and they weren't just one specific item, but it was left somewhat open to your interpretation of the item in general and obviously the more religiony/better suited the item I would imagine the better reward you may receive.
Also, ID will not say if it is the correct item, some items can be located, there is no way to detect the item and there is no real displacing.
Of course this would depend on the quest your talking about
Lets say Lich/Mummy quests...some of these items are locatable. IMM given quests, again they could be.

it was the case that every item was REALLY obvious if you found it.
If you were wondering whether an item was the correct one, it never was. If you had the right item, you can tell it is the right item.
