I've been told save vs paralsyis helps, and also that it doesn't, it's directly against save vs spell. Which is it please?

Does save vs paralaysis have an affect on things like a bard's sleep song, then?

Sorry, I missed this post. Hope you can still use the information. I also hope the information is correct!

I've been told save vs paralsyis helps, and also that it doesn't, it's directly against save vs spell. Which is it please?

Directly against save vs. spell.

Does save vs paralaysis have an affect on things like a bard's sleep song, then?

Nope, without checking the code, I'm 96% sure that's save vs. mental.

Save vs. paralaysis is limited in scope, but useful in the situations where you would need it (fighting a transmuter for example).

What kind of saves work against poison/plague/crimson scourge?

I know poison resist helps if you have it.
How about ranger resilience?
Does it improve your chances to resist poison?
Always bothered me how easy envenomed dagger would poison me.
I would be taking grazes from poison damage but still get full -5str.

Most important factors:

Resist/vuln poison/disease as appropriate.
Your con.

There are other minor factors in some cases; I think Resilience is one for Explorer rangers but I'd have to look to be sure.

So it is basically a roll check vs. my con.
And saves dont any affect...
And I have no way to protect myself besides keeping my con to max (and obtaining one of poison resist items).

Mind if I ask to add saves vs para into equation?

There is a PPP (Poison/Paralisys/Petrification) score in AD&D.
As an alternative roll to saves vs spell.
Not saying CF should mimic it blindly but in this particular case it makes sense.

Thank you,

-=NNNick=-

Why would saves vs para affect poisoning? That wouldn't make any sense.
