#63959, "It's all good."

My first ranger. My pk expectations were far greater than I could produce with this build, although it was a fantastic for exploring the Underdark. For pk, I felt like my only real hope for sealing a kill against a healthy foe who didn't spam was to get him underground, and aside from the fights in the one room caves that people easily fled and quaffed from, I never got the chance. I got owned in civilized terrain, although bows coupled with haste often helped me get away.

Outlanders
Torvin: I really liked you, and you were always up for causing trouble. I'm sorry I never managed to get up to hero, but there was no reason to rank up to 46 other than to have Ravon kill me.

Other Outlanders: According to the cabalwars command you are out there, but for the life of me I didn't see you. During my logins there were almost always at least two Scions in my range for every Outlander, and if Ravon was awake none of you.

Tribunals
Essenida: Thank you, thank you, for keeping me entertained that day. It was refreshing to find someone willing to fight longer than one round if they aren't dominating the fight.

Nerizol: Here is a perfect example of someone I stood a chance against who kept getting away. Thank you being willing to fight.

Pissudin: Strong in our few conflicts, but for all the hype I expected more of an intimidating presence from you. That said, I knew better than to stand on an open road with you around.

Firilinat: I got the feeling you were newer, but I had a lot of respect for you. Keep doing what you are doing, and you will achieve successes.

Empire:
Assassins et al: I liked fighting you, although they always ended with you marking me, running away, and then returning when you were prepared to whoop on me. You could cripple me for a disarm, I couldn't return the favor, and you can lag. I might win a battle, but you would always win the war.

Chirikaw:
I couldn't kill you with an ambush while wielding the chromatic whip, which sums up my pk experience with Brirgmra. I did seem to have a knack for stumbling upon you though, which from my perspective was loads of fun.

Scions:
If you had the Scepter you could eat three of my ambushes and not die, and if you didn't have the Scepter that meant that there was no more than one of you awake, which was almost never. Collectively you tore everyone apart, and so it was not uncommon for unthreatening me to have five of you in my range and me hiding in the brush or caverns.

Immortals:
I had no interaction, but I neither pursued nor deserved any. I felt like I was a branch in need of pruning, and so I deleted.

You were always a bear in the woods. of course, I don't think we fought outside of them, but thats ok. You were hard, and I'm not sure I ever got you alone...maybe once. You were tough and made me burn a lot of healing pills! Anyway, great job. make an Imperial!

If you remember, we actually ranked together in twenties, and I was surprised to see you as outlander. I remember our third was an A-p then...

As for the few rounds, I actually wanted to try different things to see if any of them work. Once I figured none of them would, I left.

All in all, good fight and I learnt some stuff from it.

Didn't see that much of you, but in the brief times we had some funny stuff happened, like me accidentally teleporting out of Organia after you'd gone ahead to set up a snare, and landing in the sirine cell. So I really enjoyed having Brirgma around.

Also liked the one retrieval I remember us carrying out. But it was the hunter skills that you used that I think would have been invaluable going forward. That deafening whip would have made a lethal combination with some bard songs against some of the scion magi, for example.

As far as your comment about other Outlanders not being on when Ravon was...

Didabe the Grand Elder of Changelings
<51 D-Elf A-P> (PK) Ravon the Brutal Whip of Death, Chancellor of Eternal Night
<51 Gnome Inv> (PK) Lyphine the Weaver of the Elements

2 Outlanders vs Ravon. He retrieves quickly whilst we can't get back to the tree, so we decide to have take the scepter again. At least, that's a loose theory, although unsuprisingly it doesn't work out like that.

4 scions and me. The think I like about most of them is that when I do end up fighting them, they are usually alone if it is not a raid, and the fights can go either way, even if they do go Chrichuk's way 19 times out of 20.

To make a long story short, there were lots of times I was on alone, and there were lots of times that one other outlander would be on with me. Sometimes Huewop, sometimes Torvin, sometimes Folsa, sometimes Hot Air, sometimes Eurantic, sometimes another. I can't think of an outlander I've crossed paths with that hasn't at least kept me company for some of these times, and I'm sure it is going on when I'm not on as well, since none of them seemed overly worried. There were times when there were about 6 outlanders on and one tribunal. But I don't think any of those 6 were people that didn't show when the odds were bad.

Thanks. I was really enjoying our big encounter and pretty frustrated that I didn't get to finish it in some way. While I think you had a much better chance of winning than I did, I never felt like it was pointless to fight you. That's my favorite type of cf fight.

Good luck with the next!

I seem to have a knack for either being in the best place at
a good time or the absolute worst place at the worst time.
(Lately far more of the latter) *rofl*
The only reason I survived that ambush 'fight' was the ambush
lagged you while setting off my wimpy. It was 'holy ####!
Ruuuuuuunnnn!' Had my wimpy been 0 I'd have been steaks at
your feet a few moments later.

That one wasn't the one that got me so much as the fight at
the maran, I was doing my strike and flee bit, and poof
snared. *groan* My imperial bretheren waking me about the
time you ambushed was just.. ewwwww. (Not that I didn't
appreciate freeing me at the time, and I'd have done the same)
Honestly had you ambushed him and THEN me you probably would have
killed both of us.

Best of luck with your next. We'd have probably talked more
were it not for I rarely saw you and you rarely saw me. heh.

Other Outlanders: According to the cabalwars command you are out there, but for the life of me I didn't see you. During my logins there were almost always at least two Scions in my range for every Outlander, and if Ravon was awake none of you."

The only way to change that is to be one of the people that levels up and sticks it out. I never really noticed anyone avoiding scions. And I was the last person to not be actively trying to kill Ravon. Sorry things seemed so dismal to you. Hope you have more fun with your next. Other than that, I liked having you around, and I looked forward to having someone around to shoot down those damned air forms.

I could fight every Scion but Ravon and I did have almost 300 hours on this character, so it wasn't like I didn't stick around. And I can't say I saw people disappear when Scions logged on, but when the cabalwars command says

Outlander 25
...
Scions 13

and I repeatedly see 5+ scions on vs Folsa or Torvin and me, I learned not to put any stock in the cabalwars command as a gauge of cabal power and influence.

Things weren't bleak as I felt ineffectual. That was due to my build or my ability, and only I can be blamed for that.
