Leika - thanks. Although you did teach me everything I know I hope you stick with imming and make a sizable impact on the Maran. Hell, already you've put a stamp on it. Good luck!
Arvam - You know, a good two hundred hours of this character would have been unbearably boring without you. I was a little sorry when you imm'd because I knew it meant your play time would be .5% of what it was, but it's well deserved, Blademaster!
And Shokai: Thanks again, Shok. I always wanted a special quest skill, and getting temperance was just that. I hope I managed to roleplay the virtue well enough. You really did a great job with the Maran. Once the brigade came in, I had to reevaluate alot of things I took for granted just because the role shifted a bit into something much more complex (in a few ways I was a dinosaur). Did you always have the Fortress in mind? That's just such a damned good idea to bring in the three cabals like that. I'm very glad I had an opportunity to take a part in its beginnings, and I honestly don't think I could age die anything but a Maran (with Balrahd, it's now three of them - two talons and an avatar) - that should say something about your quality of Immteraction. Suffice to say, it was a hell of alot of fun. I'm glad you haven't been disillusioned.
Until later, good luck

That actually means something.
It was interesting for me to "roleplay" with Sacer, as well - I hated you as a character and couldn't help but be impressed as a player. Part of the reason is how well you do evil (along with Zorszaul). It's so damn multi-layered. For me, a Maran is easy - I was a history major, and there's plenty of 11th -12th century crusader literature that you can emulate. But roleplaying a complex "evil" person that isn't just a killer? I can only think of a handful of actors that can do it (and they get paid). That, and, Sacer intimidated the hell out of me - and I couldn't show it as a character. I'd never challenge him directly unless I was in Shokai's shrine, and I still remember one time when you spoke to me while I was pummeling the lich, threatening me with retribution.. I was convinced you had cursed me.. somehow. Well, regardless, thanks.
I have to say though, the one thing that you did as a Scarab Imm that annoyed me was letting Rituraaj spam kill good align newbies for so long from the no_escape Dale Cemetary (he'd just walk from the Temple to the Cemetary and whack the same people). I know it's a cruel game, but, well. I remember a time when Warren and a couple of shadows were punished for killing a newbie Knight over and over, ripping like four con from him in a night (and boasting that they'd con kill him) in the name of "roleplaying". I felt that punishing them was a good decision. It's just my opinion, though.

I didn't spam kill anyone. I may have killed them more than once, but i never 'spam' killed someone, unless they went ooc with me like Caterina and Sachiel did, then they died as much as possible.

Neither of us is playing anymore, and although it sounded like a flame on your playing, I didn't mean it to. I'm just basing my opinion on what I heard, and logs like the one below. My definition of "spam killing" is "repeatedly killing someone with the same trick against which they're almost defenseless and have no way to run or avoid you, not allowing them to regear." Which is what appeared to take place. But what do I know? I wasn't there, and I don't think you suck for doing it - you were rewarded for it. And Rituraaj certainly kicked enough ass to stand out. I just think that it should never have been possible to gaunt to the Dale Cemetary in the first place - it was so harsh on newbies that I made it a point to sanctify the exit after every reboot when Immortal action wasn't forthcoming. And, when all was said and done, apparently it was changed by the Imms after you drew a great deal of attention to it (which is pretty much the only way to get things changed - by beating the hell out of people with them).
Aluria... Posted by Jhyrbian on 12:49:14 1/14/2001:
A shadowy nightgaunt swoops down on silent wings. A faceless nightgaunt is kept at bay by your a thaumaturgic circle.
<835hp 78m 560mv> cast 'bind nightgaunt' nightgaunt aluria You bind a faceless nightgaunt to your servitude!
<835hp 38m 560mv>
A faceless nightgaunt takes flight in search of its prey! A faceless nightgaunt swoops down from above, dropping Aluria at your feet! Its task complete, a faceless nightgaunt fades away into the shadows. A faceless nightgaunt stops following you.
You say 'Are you ready to give up?'
<835hp 38m 560mv> Dale Cemetary You walk into a grey mist that surrounds and devours you. You see forms and silhouettes, shadows of things that are or once were. The moaning of the undead seems to come from around you and below your feet; inhuman cackling and the dark rhythm of a chant emanate from the north. Behind you, the cemetary gate allows escape to the south.
(Glowing) A thaumaturgic circle is inscribed upon the ground. A stone cross is barely visible in the mist. Aluria the dwarf is here. A raging tower of flame hovers just above the ground. Chittering to itself, a lesser ice devil crouches here. A grey-skinned, rotting villager staggers menacingly toward you.
Aluria snorts.
<835hp 38m 560mv> l aluria Aluria is, as dwarves go, relatively slim. While beards and stockiness often blur their gender to unfamiliar races, she posseses an unmistakably feminine figure. Her hair is gold, and is braided and plaited and falls easily past her hips.
Her armor is partially covered by a white cape and hood embroidered in red and silver in designs of moons, phoenixes, and obscure runes. When it falls away enough to see what else she may be wearing your eye is caught by an ancient, silver armband inlaid with gold and platinum. Arangedsay F in a triangle on the band are a silver phoenix, and unbreakable blade, and a blackened rose.
Aluria stands solidly in front of you, holding her walking staff in one hand and absently patting the large, studded mace at her belt. Aluria, a female dwarf, is gushing blood.
Aluria is using: (Glowing) a silver phoenix clutching the moon .
A lesser ice devil turns to you and weaves a sorcerous spell. You are surrounded by a protective shield.
You say 'Forfeit your ways maran.'
Aluria smirks.
Aluria says 'Kill me again'
Rituraaj grins slightly.
You say 'Very well.'
<835hp 56m 560mv> You entangle Aluria's feet and send them to the ground! Your lash grazes Aluria. Aluria yells 'Help! Rituraaj is lashing me!' Aluria is gushing blood.
<835hp 56m 560mv>
You parry Aluria's punch. You parry Aluria's punch. Your whip devastates Aluria! Your pendant writhes against your chest. A warm feeling fills your body. Aluria is gushing blood.
<835hp 56m 560mv>
A lesser ice devil gestures at Aluria, uttering blasphemies. Aluria looks frail. Aluria yells 'Help! I'm being attacked by a fire elemental!' A fire elemental's flaming bite *** DEVASTATES *** Aluria! A fire elemental's flaming bite *** DEVASTATES *** Aluria! Aluria is convulsing on the ground.
<835hp 56m 560mv>
You parry Aluria's punch. A fire elemental's flaming bite *** DEVASTATES *** Aluria! Aluria is DEAD!! A searing bolt of silver lightning blazes from Aluria's tattoo! Aluria splatters blood on your armor.
Aluria tells you 'I don't know what you think you are proving, repeatedly killing me, never giving me a chance to re-arm, but it is not going to work. . .'
You tell Aluria 'You are branded by the lord of the maran yes?'
Aluria tells you 'I am' You tell Aluria 'Tell me.. what do you maran battle against?' Aluria tells you 'Idiots like you, but I don't behave as poorly as you'
You tell Aluria '*snickers*'
You tell Aluria 'So you repeatedly fall to an idiot.. what does this mean of you?'
Aluria tells you 'At least a decent idiot, which is better than you'
Not exacttly a high water mark of Maran roleplaying, but then not OOC, either.

No, you didn't. You still did it a lot more than was really tastefull. I have liked other chars you have played, but in this case you really pushed it further than was really appropriate. I still died to you more than anyone else, and died naked to you more than everyone else who killed me put together. Two or three times a gaming session on occasion. I mean common. . .
What leika does to people works how it was supposed to. Scarabaues even said in another post that nightgaunt wasnt meant to be used like that. That ability was also a reward for her roleplay, as opposed to 'gaunt that any goober can get.
ON A FINAL NOTE
No it wasnt great roleplaying But it also was an exhibit of EXTREME self control not to get pissed. Almost deleted right before that, after you killed me, don't remember who talked me out of it in the temple of sun, but right when I unghosted you nailed me.
I am getting better
