objects usually more suited to a grave yard. The floor has been
covered with a thick layer of rich earth. Bones can be seen
protruding in several places. A circle of chairs is set towards
the center of the room where the Sect meets to discuss how they
will use the dead and unholy to further the cause of the Empire.
The Laws of the Sect are scripted on the south wall while the great
symbol of the Sect adorns the north wall. Upon the east wall is
written a set of questions. An archway leads to the west.

Aye, I remember that case. I was really busy that time, but i considered that situation, you was right, but i must say, never consider a Divine as a one, that would allow you to REQUEST something from him. That was the reason, why did I agree with Loth and ordered the divine to kill you to teach you.

Request a spiritual aid? That's your job to keep imperial's faithful, to keep their morale high, to speak will of their Lords. At least this is how I see divine sect... and the whle empire: blade sect is to destroy foes by a brutal might; black - to bring power to empire and deadly maledictions and diseases to it's foes, and such; shadow - to spy and stalk; divine - to empower and preach empire. Perhaps I'm mistaken, but should I be the imperial high priest, I would take care of any citizen or bloodoath that requests spiritual assistance or divine guidance. Perhaps it's too kind, but that's how I see duty of an imperial priets.

Empire is not equal to Tribunial.

My suggestion is: don't go into politics. It isn't for you.

Don't know if I'd call it politics or being an immature bastard bending the Imperial Laws at will, and getting rewarded for it, instead of punished.

Weorrascsh, I feel your pain, that mentality is exactly why I got disappointed too. For instance, I still have no clue why I had to donate 500k for promotion instead of the normal amount.

Oh well, guess we're both happy to be out. Let's just keep it at that.

Imperial Law and politics have got bugger all to do with having been told to collect 500 gold instead of a "regular amount". Depending on who oaths you, you may get set different criteria for getting past the oath stage. Like Blitz said, click your heels and salute like a good grunt, until you get to the point where you can throw your own weight around. Stop feeling you are owed something in the Empire, and f**kin earn it.

Did you at any stage tell Blitz that Khasatholas undid Lothlored's demotion of you, and that Lothlored demoted you again as soon as Khasatholas left? That probably would have made the difference.

Of course, I haven't played an imperial so maybe I am wrong, but it seems to me as if you left it as your word against a superior's when the Emperor came, and failed to play your card about an immortal, highest of the high, supporting you.

You played Yanine, you know the structure of Empire. You know the hierarchy there. You kiss his ass until the day he kisses yours. You tell me truthfully, if I picked an Oath's side over Yanine's, how would you have felt. I personally would delete; delete, because the Emperor has no respect for you, your authority, and shows no concern to one of the important aspects to Empire.

3.a I probably did both, though regaining all lost donations after first demotion, leveling up, continuing slaying foes, and remaining loyal to you and the empire despite all that ####... yes, that's not impressive. Tes, I think other players do much more at this rank, during 20-30 hours of playing the character, but I'm not so good.

I have to agree with Daurwyn, the Imm card might have at least bought you another week. Bottom line is things like this are why I will never play an imperial. The potential detriment/punishment for whatever 'supposed' whatever someone pulls out of their rear-end makes life miserable. Likewise, the lure of being in the most numerous cabal isn't very appealing either.

I nevver had such #### before. I've been demoted a lot of times (well deserved, good lessons);
I've been made an anathema (yeah, deserved too, but that were my role);
but always there were a reason, and without reason I never been demoted/anathemised. Some would say they had a reason here too, but that's totally ####. If they can demote/anathema players that they do not like, that's ####.

back down to YOU instead of backing down to

from what I see here. (perhaps that isn't all
of it?) It seems like he took things out on
you from a player perspective instead of a
character perspective. (I could be wrong though)

From a just plain 'dealing with people' angle
I'd advise if you ever play an imperial again
to follow these simple things.

Never use direct confrontation unless you are
the superior. (it forces the issue where action
HAS to be taken to avoid appearing weak, and
if they are above you guess what happens...)

Use every bit of 'passive-agressive' garbage
you can pull forth from the twisted soul of
an imperial. undermine faith in your opposition
within your own sect without thier knowledge
and other sects as well. If the people hear
bad things about a person from 20 different people
it no longer matters if it is true.

or hell some of the forums here and at dioxide's
HAR!

If neither direct confrontation or turning the
empire against them is viable, hire folk outside
the cabal to mess with them in any way you can.

On the other hand:
You didn't have to kill the oath. you could have made him
pay in many other ways for the 'insult'. perhaps while
talking to your superior seen about working to have him
anath'd then kill him all you want.
After getting bumped back up by an imm, you didn't have
to be all 'I'm da man!' If say I was mid management
and the mail room guy talked ot me like you did
I'd have him fired too.

But hey, what happened happened.
