Aestelor the High Wizard of the Arcane
DescriptionTall and slender, this human stands about six and a half feet in height. His build is slight, and it would seem a strong enough wind could blow him off his balance. His head is shaven clean, the darkly tanned scalp of his seeming to glisten ever so slightly against the light. His brown eyes have a rigid appearance, seemingly cut into his face and surrounding a slightly pointed nose. His jaw is squared, its chin covered in a narrow goatee, it coarse brown hair stretching several inches off his face. While seemingly frail, the is a hint of muscle tone to his forearms and calves, this thin muscle structure rippling against the tanned skin with his movements. A solumn look about him, he seems to show little in the way of emotion.

RoleChapter 2 The beliefs of a simple man. Added Mon Nov 21 16:07:08 2005 at level 51:Having found himself advanced into the pinnacle of his guild much quicker than expected, Aestelor considered what the future had to hold for him.He knew still in his mind that he wanted to serve the law, and had done what he could to seek out those in the positions to make it as such. Yet, to this day he had yet to cross paths with the one who could make it happen. Alas, he continued sending about his missives informing the Spire of his willingness to help and do whatever he could to see their ways advanced. He also knew of the now burning desire in his heart to further his path in which he was born. The path of reason. In such a sphere of influence, he has found that all things in life have reason and it is the reasons of law that interest him most. Not only the whys of the written law, but the reason that drives the criminal mind, the reasons into which ones react in the ways that they do. And while he sought the reasoning of all such things, he also sought a reason for which peace did not exist. It was here he devouted quite a bit of effort. Seeing himself as a peaceful individual, only acting when such is forced, Aestelor believed that all citizens of Thera are born with the right to live peaceful lives and to feel safe within the cities that they lived in. As such, his gravitation towards law. They would enforce the peace within the cities, but still complete peace itself was dependant upon the people. It was them that would have to choose to live in peace, to understand the differeces of others. To learn to accept that while they may not agree with what others do or their beliefs, they still can live amongst these people. He wanted to show the people that a disagreement did not need to escalate into violence, and instead would be a reason for meditation why the other believed as they did.As such were his beliefs, Aestelor had distanced himself from evil and good, right and wrong in the literal sense as each placed limitations that were based on ones beliefs. The only system he found fair and necessary was law, yet in reaching the utopia of peace, perhaps one day law would not be needed. But for now, the law stood to protect the innocent and defend those that otherwise could not defend themselves.

RoleChapter 3 The simple man of simple life, Aestelor Added Sat Nov 12 21:49:08 2005 at level 36:Aestelor is a human, born and raised within the walls of the city of Galadon. of the law, and interested in its ins and outs, he is interested in a life of law enforcement, but at the same time is hesitant to push the fact due to his "shortcomings". Shortcomings referring to his real lack of any way of defending himself. Sure, he makes a great support person that can enhance and strengthen even the greatest weaponmaster or spellcaster, its the vision in his head of the hardened criminal battle rager headed straight for him that makes him twinge slightly. Not to call him a coward though, because he would give this situation his best...but he seems to know how he would come out on the losing end of such an encounter. Nonetheless, the still continues to struggle and find the inner fortitude to make a strong decision in the matter. He knows there is reason to law, and its its reasons and interworkings that fascinate him. The investigative work, the image of law enforcers, the whole image.
He is also quite timid in the presense of those who carry an aura of Red about them. Quite uneasy around them, he finds that being in their company for too long makes him nervous, and not quite as capable as he is in the company of those in the balance or those of the light. Perhaps it is the oft told stories of backstabbery that were told in the inns and bars he frequented. As such, he has tendancies that sway towards those of the light. is still true to his neutral roots though, staying out of the matters of light and dark, and instead chooses to focus more in the ways of right and wrong, lawful or unlawful, chaos and order.
He is also very inquizitive in nature, and finds himself spending goods amount of times traveling about and exploring the worlds around him. He yearns for knowledge and will often be found wanting to know why things work the way they do. He knows all things have reason, and wishes to further understand them.
All in all, Aestelor is quite a common man with a knack for the magic of the arcane. As such, he place placed within its guildhall and learned its teachings. He has excelled to this point and has advanced quite far in his guild at a very young age. He continues to seek more in the ways of arcane magic and transmutation and considers the magic he practices as finely crafted art.

RoleChapter 1 The loss of Wisdom and its affects of devastation Added Thu Nov 24 01:59:11 2005 at level 51:The Rod of Minos, the tainted object seemingly spewed from the depths of hell had found its way into the hands of Aestelor. Greed being a driving factor in his aquiring of it, Aestelor was quite proud of the shiny new object that he held as his weapon. Unbeknown to him though, the rod itself held cursed magic that slowly began the process of draining wisdom from the mind of Aestelor. After time, Aestelor went walking one day, and suddenly felt a moment of complete blankness, only to look down and see the scepter lying on the ground. Not sure exactly what just took place, Aestelor continued on about his way. As he did, he found his thoughts harder to graps, and seemingly easy things for him to comprehend, now seemed...well difficult. Over a few days, he noticed his wisdom seemed to be almost gone. Eventually he was able to dimly put two and two together and realize that the rod had stolen his wisdom, and left his head rather clouded and dim. Quite depressed by this, Aestelor has spent his time trying to figure a way to gain back the wisdom he had before. For now though, he has decided to leave his position within the spire, and he fears that the recent activities in his life will lead to wrongful actions or dangerous actions in a situation that might lead to another Magistrate getting killed. As such, he feels he is a liability to the Spire and will resign with hopes of returning once his wisdom has been taken back from Minos or whoever has harnessed it. Still concious of his spells and their castings, Aestelor has drifted into a self pitying state due to his young age and the feelings that his life is now ruined, and that a bright future has been lost. Between his bouts of self pity, drunkeness and hatred for what has happened, he will begin to find time to get back what he believes is rightfully his.
