Zrakweh the Weaver of the Elements
DescriptionYour gaze comes to rest upon the large and peculiar saurian standing before you. A lean and muscular looking beast of a lizard creature standing near seven feet tall, his tongue flicks slightly as it tastes and senses the air around him. Unique from any Saurian you have ever seen, his reptilian scales are a dull black color with an ashy charred look to them. Scattered flecks of fiery red scales cover his arms. They twist into the shapes of swirls and runes before coming to a massive three pronged claw with razor tips sharp as blades. Beady, yellow reptilian eyes carefully survey his surroundings, his pupils shifting wide to narrow as they adjust to the varying light and shadows around him. He continues flicking his lizard tongue subconsciously to keep him alert to anything around him. Occasionally he will extend his jawline to expose his rows of vicious looking, yellowish razor sharp teeth. His slender muscular tail casually twists and slithers behind him like a serpent, making each of his movements graceful and agile. Though fierce looking with unique features like many others of his kin, you can tell that this saurian is a rare specimen of his species.

RoleChapter 9 The Archmage of Elements Added Mon Aug 21 01:24:13 2023 at level 51:Invoker. Archmage. Weaver of Elements. Zrakweh had finally accomplished the pinnacle of his guild teachings. He was recognized about Thera now, famous for his magic and known to his enemies as a feared force of nature. He had risen above and beyond what was normal for his people, what was expected of his people. He had shed his savage ways and had become an intellectual, a professor of dark magic. He often looked down on his kin, feeling that most of them had been passed over of the talents he now boldly possessed. They had their place in the cycle, their path, and he had his. The cycle would continue with or without them, he well knew. Sometimes he wished he could educate them himself, but his eyes were on the horizon now, at a different fate. The Scions of Eternal Night had come to respect him, he had firmly secured his home in the Chasm. He brought power, power and the promise of something more to come. The Promise of darker days. Zrakweh continued to seek power and knowledge though, never content with what he had learned, there was always something greater to seek still. There was Lady Rarywey, who he continued to seek and praise. He returned to the drowned tree often to wash himself of the worries of tomorrow, so he could focus on the present. The Goddess of Weh had not shown herself yet to him, but that only made him strive to be better, to be wiser, to become something she would be interested in. He was a diamond in the rough, the rare abomination of dark magic in the cycle that continued to serve it and learn more about its ways each day. He was not fool enough to think he had Weh figured out. He did not even have Sra figured out yet. Sra was continuing always, and he focused on living it, while Weh loomed on some distant horizon, waiting to take him away some day at a time he could not foreshadow. He lived on, constantly seeking reminders that his fate had led him down this path for a reason, and he would only become greater and wiser as time continued to roll on, taking him further on his journey of enlightenment.

RoleChapter 8 Character update Zrakweh-2 Added Thu Aug 17 17:21:18 2023 at level 43:His focus while he walked with Sra in him was still on his elemental magic, and knowledge. He desired to become an archmage, and one day an Advisor in the Chasm. As advisor, he hoped to guide the Chancellor, and many Chancellors to come in his long path of his cycle. He sought to center the Scoins focus and keep them strong and focused on controlling and unlocking new and dark magics.
He was not overly favorable to Necromancers or Anti-paladins, but he knew it was not his place to walk anothers path for them. Though they often disrupted the cycle, they had their place in it, however disturbing to him it was. Weh would come for them, and he would act with caution around them, even the Chancellor. He felt both of the guilds and their members should be watched carefully, and should any one of them become a true danger to the cycle, they must be hindered or brought to Weh. With his hopes to rise as an Advisor, he would be able to help carefully watch their own progress as they walked their paths in their place in the grand cycle.
He felt destined to accomplish wonders in his time, but also knew he would always be a student in many ways as he approached mastery in his guild. He never wishes to lose the hunger for knowledge, or fall content with himself. He would always be reaching for the next achievement, not for glory, or for fame, but to make a prominent mark on the world before Weh came to take him.

RoleChapter 7 Character update Zrakweh-1 Added Thu Aug 17 17:20:39 2023 at level 43:Zrakweh went back to Ysigrath, deep in the swamp, and spent some time away from the Chasm and his studies to center himself and focus on his place in the world. He was now a bit older and wiser, and had new insights on the cycle, his elemental magics, the power of the Ccul'gra, and Weh. Since spending his time in solitude in the deepest depths of the swamp connected to Weh, some spirits have opened themselves up to him and he has been able to commune with spirits with some success. This has left him feeling more connected and enlightened to all phases of the cycle, and eager to seek wisdom from the spirits of beyond.
He realized his mantra he had lived by, Weh comes to all, was an absolute. It also was a saying with more depth than he had initially realized and imagined. He could never become Weh. Weh was a force that came long before him, and would eventually take him in time. Only by living Sra could one fully understand the place of Weh. Though he brought Weh, it was a force with its own mind. His destiny was already written, and as he would bring Weh to many, he would also be aware and present for his time alive in Sra.
His praises still went out to the Goddess Rarywey, and though she had not answered his prayers yet, he knew that the goddess of the great cycle was to be revered and respected. He knew what when she was ready to share insight with him, she would show herself at the drowned tree. All things came in time, and though it took him many years, he learned that the time he had waited to speak with her was insignificant in the grand scheme of the cycle.

RoleChapter 6 Reflections of Fate Added Thu Jul 27 08:23:49 2023 at level 38:Zrakweh found himself often walking the banks of the rivers at the far corners of Thera, watching the timeless current swirl and twist as it made its way further down the river, past all obstacles. Reflection was something he did constantly, he sought answers and questioned his purpose in the world constantly. Thinking kept him sharp, questioning even the simplest things and truths kept him wise. He had come a long way since the swamp. He was a powerful Invoker now, known to most of Thera in one form or another. Sometimes he heard others lower their voices when they said his name, almost as if afraid to say it too loudly. He was infamous. Becoming a Scion of Eternal night only elevated confirmations that his power was still not even close to its full potential. He was constantly studying others, learning everything he could from what he called the "Bringers of Weh". Anyone that seemed close to the essence of Death or Weh was interesting to Zrakweh. He was fascinated with how people coped with it, how they saw it in theory, and how they committed the act, the ones that die. Everyone saw Weh differently, he was finding. Even he was seeing things differently himself after many years of what he thought was a well educated and learned stance on it. He was learning he was still a novice in many ways, the great cycle a grand mystery that he would never completely understand, only something he could respect and find a place in. He had made enemies during his climb to greatness. Enemies that had been insulted by him, by being used or treated as fools. He knew they would come. Let them all come, he thought. His convictions were as strong as ever, and he would continue to return to the Drowned Tree of the Goddess Rarywey to cleanse himself in the waters and to find insight on his fate. He was always seeking to grow and improve himself, which kept him sharp and focused. The night brought forth the horrors of Thera, and now he was one of them. Weh had never been easier to touch than it was now, and he had never felt more alive than he did now.

RoleChapter 5 Journal-The rise of an Elementalist of Eternal Night Added Sun Jul 23 03:23:07 2023 at level 28:The years have been interesting since I left my village and sought a greater purpose for myself. I have sought the path of Weh, and though I have learned much, sometimes I feel like a novice in the grand form of the great cycle. I am not certain one can ever fully understand the cycle, only the goddess Rarywey knows what fate holds for me. I remain committed to Weh, and to walk the path before me without hesitation.
My magic is improving every day. The elements bend and bow to my will. I am only becoming stronger, Invocation is a fine tapestry to be weaved delicately. Very few in Thera would have the patience to work as I have, yet I remain rising in a guild where most cannot stomach the ladder of mastery. I expect a great deal out of myself, and I have come to learn that the elements and nature are not as harmonic as I once thought when I lived among the Sz'Weh. I care little for the natural world outside of my own path in the cycle, I have forsaken its protection in pursuit of higher power. The forbidden calls to me, as the only egg in my clutch to hatch, I feel obligated to seek greatness and fulfill a destiny others will revel in in wonder.
I have been given a task by the Chancellor herself, a test of sorts to prove myself worthy of the Chasm. In time I will become a member of their elite circle, opening the door to untold secrets and paths to power I could have never reached as a mere Elementalist. I keep my ambitions secret. My allies and enemies only know me as a wandering magus searching for mastery over the elements, but I am so much more. If my secret were revealed before I am ready, the armies of Thera would rally against me. They would send their finest killers to stop me from reaching my full potential. Deception is my ally, Weh is the only truth I share with others. I keep my enemies close, watching them as they think me a harmless Saurian far from his home. Little do they know what I truly am. I will become a master of Weh, an Archmage of the Elements, A Scion of Eternal night. I will fill my role in the cycle and obtain greatness as I live my life. I will only embrace the final Weh when it comes after I have achieved the unthinkable. Writing keeps me sane, if this journal were ever discovered I would suffer at the hands of others. But for now, my secret is safe, and the path before me is clear. When it is not clear, a bath in the waters of the Drowned Tree always invigorates me with purpose. I have not met with the Goddess yet, but I will return until she finds me worthy. Time and patience are with me, and I will rise strong.

RoleChapter 4 The Dangerous Path to Scions Added Fri Jul 21 02:40:00 2023 at level 23:The elemental magic flowed through Zrakweh freely now, he was standing out as a promising aspirant in the guild of invocation. He was patient and calculated with his approach to studies, the elements were sacred to him, a crucial part of every cycle. He had great respect for the elements, but he was not like many of his kin. Nature and being attuned to it was less important to him than other Saurians. The cycle happened in all parts of Thera, not just the wilds. As he served Weh, he did not seek to just end lives. He served Weh fully. Fire for burning things to ash. Water for endless flooding and erosion. Air to uproot the sturdy. Earth to devastate the very soils. Lightning to split the very cells of things. Ice to make things delicate and brittle, and Ooze to cause rot and decay. Every aspect of Weh could be found in the Elements, and he intended to use each and every aspect as needed. He would make enemies. Many enemies. But his mind had never been more clear.
He had swam in the waters of the Drowned pool. The ancient Wood-and-Bones lurked over him as he took the time to clear his mind and body of any distractions or barriers. He felt invigorated after his visits there. It brought him clarity and focus, something always welcome after countless hours spent perfecting every detail of his craft. He would not be an amateur in his craft, or walk through life without purpose. Before Weh took him, he would live the fullest life, he would accomplish wonders in his cycle most only dream of. But the guild of Invokers would not bring him all the answers he sought. He became intrigued with the Scions of the Eternal Night. The most powerful Masters of their respective arts in Thera, each of them with their own purpose, enlightened to the forbidden secrets few dared to seek out. The Chancellor had welcomed his pledge to bring his elemental magics to the Chasm, tasking him with challenges to join their ranks should he prove worthy. He was determined to hold the forbidden knowledge, to explore all aspects available to him in Thera during his cycle. He could feel it in his scales, he would not fail. He would let the elements guide him, trust in his magics, give into fate. In doing so, he would only know a greater understanding of Weh than he could ever have hoped to achieve without the power of their fabled Ebony Scepter.

RoleChapter 3 The Cycle and the Goddess of the River Added Tue Jul 18 21:30:50 2023 at level 5:His studies progressed, as did his basic understandings of the Cycle. He was always learning through fire, decay, rot, death. All of these things helped him understand the nature of Weh, the end of the cycle. His place would be bringing Weh where it needed to be brought. He would not hesitate to carry out his dark tasks. His magic grew stronger daily, he was sharp eyed and listened closely to the world around him. Watching other Therans, learning everything he could. Each new insight was a lesson of wisdom that would carry him further into life. He barely thought about his time in the Swamp, and he rarely returned to the Saurian Village, even to rest. Darkness stirred within him, blackening his soul as he leaned towards the end of the cycle, leaving other Saurians and beings to care for Sra. Each soul in this world had its place while it resided in Thera, before they embraced Weh. He found that many Therans feared death, they did not embrace the end. They clung to life and fought it at every turn. This disturbed Zrakweh, and he took it upon himself to help those poor souls embrace Weh, even if it were to be done with force. He continued to study the elements, the magics of Invocation were easy for him to study, it was as natural to him as the grand cycle. It simply took time, another process as all things in life were. He began to spiritually connect to the cycle, and in doing so was made aware of the Goddess Rarywey, the Lady of the Waterways and Goddess of the cycle. She understood all parts of the cycle, she would understand his drive to serve the forces of Weh. He put himself to the task of finding her river, with hopes that in time he would learn to understand his place in the cycle even more and grow closer to it through the Goddess Rarywey. He knew his path would not be easy, he had a long journey ahead, and much to learn. But his spirit was consumed with purpose, and he was determined to use his time in this world well, to learn all he could before his time in this cycle was done.

RoleChapter 2 Serving the Cycle of Weh Through the Elements Added Tue Jul 18 21:17:11 2023 at level 5:Zrakweh found freedom from village life and the swamp liberating. He had no desire to live a simple life serving the village. He felt his calling was much greater than life as a villager. The great cycle called to him, Weh called to him. He kept to himself around the Saurian village, failing to even give his name to many of the other Saurians. He was named for a bad omen, and he did not desire the distraction from the Sra loving Saurians he cared nothing for. They began calling him the Blackscale, another reference to his oddly colored scaling. That suited him fine, and he even took it as his secondary name. The mana source flowed freely through him with ease, the elements manipulating for him even without much proper training. He made his way to Galadon and joined the guild of Invokers there, eager to fan the flames of his power. He was filled with emotions, but rarely showed it outside of his displays of magic, which became an outlet for him. His driving force was to serve the great cycle by serving Weh. He would become the Claw of Weh, the Kiss of Weh, the Saurian that brought Weh where it was needed. He did not feel pity or sorrow for the dead. Weh greeted all in time, some sooner than others. It was a natural thing, not to be grieved or mourned. One day it would greet him as well. But he was determined to take his place in the great cycle, serving the forces of Weh with his elemental magic. He separated himself from the Saurian village, spending less and less time there. He spent time wandering Thera, learning about the cycles and practicing his elemental magics. As he spent time away from his people, he lost the long hiss that many of his people had in their speech, adapting the typical Theran accent, though not perfectly. He was determined to find his place serving the cycle, but first he must hone his abilities to bring Weh, to bring the elements forth in service of his needs for the cycle. Weh comes for all, and Zrakweh would be there to bring it to many.

RoleChapter 1 The Shadowed Death Added Tue Jul 18 20:54:36 2023 at level 5:Zrakweh was hatched in a hatchery in the village of Sz'weh during a Solar eclipse. His hatching took the length of the eclipse, his black egg slowly cracking and breaking until he clawed his way free in the darkness. The villagers took note of him, his black and red scales and ashy pattern across them disturbed even the darkest of the Sz'weh. They named him Zrakweh, translating into the Theran tongue as Shadowed Death. He began to grow under the watch of the tribe, learning the ways of survival, of the Saurian, and of Weh. He did not adapt as well as the other Saurians, putting less emphasis on the village life and that of his species, and leaning heavily into Weh, and the darker natures of the cycle. He grew to find a natural affinity to the elements, the spark of the mana source was strong within him which was very rare for his race. It troubled the Sz'weh people, they felt he was growing apart from the village, focusing on Weh, pushing himself to manipulate the elements around him, however simple. He studied corpses and all forms of rot and decay. The villagers finally decided he was not suited to live among them, and guided him outside his home in the swamps to the Saurian Village a comfortable distance away. They left him at the altar after just thirty years in the village, the blink of an eye for a Saurian. He was old enough to find his own way, and the Sz'weh left back into the depths of Ysigrath swamp, hoping he would never return.
