Chapter 2

As Lilium grew up in Emerald forest, she was taken care of by the forest. The
pixies, the dryad's, the rangers, all of them. She had wanted to be like her
mother, a communer of nature, a protector of the wilds. She had an innate
gift with the flora and fauna of the Emerald forest, and tended to it all
like she had watched her mother do. Lilium learned much and became quite
competent, even learning some of the darker sides of being a druid from
Marealee. While a druid would tend to nature, they would also sometimes use
it's force against invaders and defilers. Marealee was quite an overwhelming
teacher at times, but Lilium learned much of the more fierce and frightful
teachings, as well as some of her bitterness towards those who took her
sisters away.

Lilium eventually became of age to set off for her commune with nature all
over the world, so she set off on her pilgrimage to become more than just a
druid of the Emerald forest, but one who would tend to the many different
wilds of Thera. Soon enough it would come time for her to seek her prayers
from a divine as their true capability is realized when the divine channel
through nature. Her mother had also prayed to the divine Rarywey, as the
cycle continued, it seemed only fated that Lilium would follow in her path.
Lilium ventured far and wide and embraced the world full of splendor and
pain, and wished to do what she could to protect all that her mother
cherished, as well as she does now. There was a bit of a fire that burned in
her heart though, one not so much of revenge, but one of anger towards those
that would cause harm to Thar-Eris, to the spirits and the wilds, the ones
who weaken the ancients. Lilium would eventually seek a more aggressive
stance towards this, as even though it was all a part of the cycle, it did
not mean that Lilium was not sad and angered at what was taken from her, her
mother and family of the Emerald forest.

Chapter 1

"Please, keep Lilium safe..." These were the last words spoken before
Lilium's mother set off to face a combined army of imperials and magistrates,
seeking to bring harm to the Emerald forest, this defense sadly came with
much loss.

It was a moonless night, pitch-black to those whos' eyes were not keen to the
dark. Through the deep forest, a light could be seen, glowing orange like a
sunset, with the smell of ash and smoke in the air. Footsteps marched like a
loud drum, echoing through the forest. A small army approached the forest, a
joint militia between two factions that wished to destroy nature and bring
civilization. As the marching army approached, the footsteps getting ever so
loud, preparations were being made to put a halt to this. Lilium's mother had
united the forest temporarily with the dryad's, pixies, rangers, and even
Tekk, Imbessor, Sir Sorrow and the three sister witches joined in to defend
their home. Sure they did not all see eye to eye they united to repel this
force that came against them. The battle was long, it was harsh, and sadly
many lost their life in this confrontation, the forest still stands to this
day, changed but still there.

Lilium was but a very young child during this night, held in the deepest part
of the Emerald forest. She slumbered peacefully, unaware of what was
happening, but she does remember hearing her mother's voice trailing off, as
she had awoken briefly, sensing something was amiss.

As the battle waned, the morning sun began rising. There was a terrible
amount of bloodshed on both sides as the Imperial-Tribunal militia had
retreated. The Emerald forest was saved that day, though Lilium's mother was
lost, along with many of the forest that day. Lilium had awoken, a mere five
year old little girl, had lost her one and only parent that she had known.
Her mother knew that she'd likely be giving up her life in this battle she
knew it would keep Lilium safe. She was a powerful druid and has always lived
off the land and knew that the land would provide for Lilium as well, no
matter her choice in life. Lilium was devastated of course, but she
understood, she was wise for her age, and while deeply saddened, she
understood it was necessary.
