Chapter 4

Drinks with dwarves

Fwalboani finds himself getting along well with dwarves. He has traveled with
a few and they bonded over ale and combat. This has also led to him having a
more positive opinion of Fortress and Tribunal.


Rules for killing

When he first set out, Fwalboani was so desperate for friends that he would
travel with anyone. This was working well until he joined a group to kill
shopkeepers. It didn't feel right killing people at work just to impress
their guildmasters. He will still group with evil people, but has some new
rules about who he will kill:

1. Anyone in a guild.
2. Golems, undead, elementals, etc.
3. Those holding weapons, armor, keys, etc.
4. Anyone/anything aggressive.
5. No rules when starving.

He is not trying to become a Maran, but he doesn't want to be a senseless
killer.


Story-telling

Fwalboani had been drawn to the Inn of the Eternal Star but was told he needed
a talent to be a Herald. After failed attempts at shadow puppets and dancing,
he remembered what he had liked most about the bars of Seantryn Modan.
Hearing stories of great adventures was why he joined the warriors guild.
Finally, he realized he could be the one entertaining others will fantastic
tales. After his first story, he officially became a Herald.


Lucky Lord

On a trip to Upper Cragstone, maybe his 13th, Fwalboani stumbled upon a
fountain of whiskey. He quickly realized he'd found the shrine of a god that
likes to enjoy life like he does. It seemed that luck and fate were telling
him where to find more guidance in life. Now, he seeks the wisdom of Whiysdan
to become the best beer-drinking, axe-swinging, story-telling minotaur that
Thera has ever seen.

Chapter 3

Fwalboani is mostly interested in exploring the world, meeting new people, and
having exciting adventures. He doesn't really go looking for fights but will
fight if provoked or as a hired mercenary. Fighting isn't something that he
particularly enjoys or dislikes, but he does want to be good at it so he can
explore more of the world. He likes to keep beer on hand and stay a little
tipsy when he's fighting. Magic impresses him and he likes spells, potions,
pills, etc. He is oblivious to his unpleasant outward appearance.

For obvious reasons, he hates Outlanders. He doesn't see the Fortress or
other zealots as much better, if they also discriminate by race. He has more
respect for villagers, Tribunals, and others that hunt people based only on
their actions. Tribunals he doesn't really like though because the guards in
Seantryn Modan were hard on minotaurs. The Empire he doesn't like much
because they want to rule everyone, but he also doesn't think they will ever
pull it off. He thinks Scions are more likely to take over the world, but not
anytime soon. He tends to prefer the company of Heralds, explorers, drunks,
story-tellers, brawlers, and other bar flies. However, he is willing to
travel with almost anyone that doesn't want to kill him.

Chapter 2

The wisdom behind his father's words quickly became apparent. In the first
village he tried to visit, young jade elves attacked him on sight. His
adventures would have ended quite quickly if it weren't for his basic training
as a warrior. The hard truth was he had learn to defend himself or he would
be murdered.

Not everyone was hostile though. It didn't take long for him to be offered
work. He enjoyed going new places, seeing new things, and getting some combat
experience. The pay was also much better than anything he got for delivering
ale. Perhaps most important, it was good for his morale to be met with
respect instead of aggression.

Making friends was tough though. People staring often made him feel out of
place. His Seantryn Modan accent seemed difficult for people to understand,
even when he tries to use very simple language. Worst of all, nobody wanted
to hang out with him at the bars. He was beginning to think making friends
was an impossible task... until he found the Eternal Star.

A place for drinks, food, stories, and brawling. This was the kind of
environment he could relax in. The head bartender even had a drink with him
and offered him a job. If there were any place he would be able to make
friends, this was it.

Role

Chapter 1

As a young minotaur, Fwalboani followed his dad around from bar to bar doing
beer deliveries. They would haul barrels from ships to the taverns around
Seantryn Modan. After each delivery they would have a drink, sometimes more
than one. The pay was low but they met interesting people and had good times.

Over the years, on the docks and in the bars, Fwalboani would hear fantastic
tales of exciting adventures from travelers that had come from all over Thera.
He grew dissatisfied with the lack-luster life path laid out before him.
Seeing this, his father encouraged Fwalboani to follow his dreams and gave 3
pieces of advice:

1. Learn fight
2. Find job
3. Make friends

With this, Fwalboani joined the Warriors Guild and set out for a life of
adventure.
