Chapter 7

I met this thief, she seemed pretty harmless, but she turned out to be
very selfish. I was excited to advance in my guild, it has been sooo
hard for me to advance without any help, you know. And she said oh she
has to stop after she ranks next to go to some mansion or whatever, but
I didn't think she'd just leave right then on the spot, with me so close
to ranking too?

I thought she meant she had to rest, but no, she just ditched me! So,
talked to her, and made her feel bad, and she said she'd meet me somewhere
different. Azuremain? No thank you! But I told her yes, then made her
wait. I'm going to try to "travel" with her a lot, always like this. She
deserves it.

Chapter 6

I have made the best friends, and they are all part of this place
north of Arkham that everyone just calls "the tree." I love trees! Sylar,
Sedna, Viqu, and Ven all live there. Viqu and Sedna really seem to like
killing zombies, and although I don't like zombies (who does?), I really
don't like killing them. I keep dying to them! But Sedna and Viqu
are all about it, so I've been going along with it.

Viqu actually caught me fibbing about her, but she was really nice about
it after I explained that it was intended to trick Theoduin. In fact,
Ven caught me trying to trick him about Theoduin, too, and even suggested I
join them all in their big tree after I explained my grand plan to get
that awful elf in trouble for killing someone he shouldn't.

I hate paladins. But literally, everyone but these outlanders seem to hate
me, all for no reason! (ok, yes, Vrak and Narzinne were nice to me too, but
I haven't mentioned Krihmzar or Phee or Gwentald and so many more!). But the
outlanders... they welcome me. I very much want to find a home... not alone,
a real home, away from that filthy Balator I had to move to.

I don't know anything about the "There-Are's" that's so important to them,
but I know they also reallly revere things that are ancient, and that should
be enough to go on, and I then I can be a war-er or a reaper or whatever and
live in the cozy woods with them.

If I can find a new family, that will change everything, I'm sure of it.

Chapter 5

So today I traveled forrrrever with these two wood-elves, Narzinne and Sylar.
Wood-elves are the best!

Narzinne seemed to really like me, and helped me kill all kinds of elves and
learn three new forms in my guild! I know I exaggerated a little about liking
the woods and everything, and I wish I didn't tell him I was focused on
air forms like Khemby and Reghol, but maybe that's what got him to
help me?

And Sylar made me kick out the dwarf I hired, he was all about "no slaves"
or whatever, which made no sense, but he was pretty nice and let me keep
all the silver we found on the corpses of those poor elves. I don't know
why wood-elves are fine with murdering "high" elves, I kind of felt bad,
but if they are ok with it, I guess I am too!

Chapter 4

I met a verrrry powerful magistrate in my guild named Khemby. Khemby told me
I could be a magistrate like him, and I was so excited! I didn't even know
anything about the law, but I must have had some good potential in his eyes.
I thought about working alongside everyone in the spire, and all the
confiscated treasures that I could play with, and all the magistrates
who would be my friends... but it was too good to be true.

Later, after previously giving me lots of gold and saying all kinds of nice
things to me, he looked at me this other day and then just got really cold.

"How th' hell ya gonna join th' Spire. Swear ya used to be Orderly."

Then he goes and up and flies away!! Another older shapeshifter in our
guild, Rehgol, told me that I was too "chaotic." I didn't even do
anything chaotic! I hate the spire and I hate Khemby. And you wouldn't
believe what he did next - when someone broke into our guild and tried
to kill me me, he didn't even believe me and wouldn't arrest them! I am
going to ruin him one way or another, and then he'll see just how damned
orderly a cat can be.

Chapter 3

I am so glad I met Vrak! What a totally lost saurian this priest was! I
showed him allll the secrets of the academy, even the one about the fungus!
It was pretty hard for me to figure out, and I kinda thought maybe not
fair for someone else to just get the academy's test answer handed to
them, but I realllly wanted Vrak to like me and be a good friend. He's
a healer you know!

Since that day, I have helped Vrak lots, and he's helped me too! He
even wrote me a really nice letter, thanking me! Vrak makes me feel like
everyone else really is out to get me for no reason at all. It's not
fair, I haven't done anything to anyone! But I'll get them all back just
the same.

Vrak, though, he is my best friend and he's going to help me soooo
much!

Chapter 2

Getting kicked out of her home was the best thing ever for Mivrii. One
of 11 kits in an unusually large litter, the rules of her home were many
and strict, but young Mivrii never had the meekness or patience to go
along with them.

The lying became part of her at an early age. Strict punishments came
with failure to complete chores or responsibilities, and Mivrii found
that the consequences for lying about completing her chores were not
much worse than the consequences for failing to complete them.

And so the fibs and excuses for her parents soon extended to stories or
exaggerations to her siblings and friends. To win inclusion and approval
from her siblings and friends, Mivrii began to feign the same likes and
dislikes as them. Additionally, she often would brag or exaggerate
to try impress. However, she frequently went too far and often only
repelled others from her even more.

As a result Mivrii often found herself alone, playing make-believe with
pretend friends. She did try though, so very hard, to win real friends.
An extrovert with a playful spirit, it wore on Mivrii to constantly be
under punishment from her parents, and constantly be left out by her
peers.

Mivrii grew bitter and spiteful. Whenever her efforts failed to win
her friends, she took to gossip and slander against those who slighted
her. This approach, most satisfyingly, returned very quick results. But,
in the end, such acts still failed to win her sincere friends.

Mivrii placed place the brunt of the blame for her circumstances onto her
parents. They were the ones who demanded so much from her, always tried
to make her feel bad, always punished her for just wanting to be a kid!
So, one day Mivrii decided to get her parents into trouble for a change.
She took her foreclaws and scraped a painful wound into her abdomen,
enough to bleed all over her fur, then let out a terrible, shrill screech!
The neighbors, her parents, everyone came, and when they did, Mivrii
pointed at her mother, crying, sobbing, declaring what a cruel thing
she did. Oh, poor Mivrii, how could she endure anymore abuse?

Sadly, the claw marks she cut into abdomen were not nearly as convincing
to the elders as she believed they ought have been.

The other felar kits laughed at and mocked Mivrii, and everyone
understood when the Fropfrir family cast her out. It was the last straw.
But now, Mivrii realized she was free. Free of her home, free of its
rules, and free to start over. She was sure that in a new setting where
no one knew her, she could win lots of friends.

Chapter 1

* Who is Mivrii, really? *
- Oh, she is a bit of a toxic personality, maybe prone to sociopathy.
- She is a troublemaker, a needy but selfish liar. She was kicked out
of her home after trying to frame her mom for kit abuse.
- All that said, she can be very sweet and fun if you don't get to
know her too well!

* What does Mivrii want? *
- What we all want, really. To be happy, to be loved!
- She also especially wants to be free. How she hates being made
to do anything she doesn't want to do!
- She loves people and wants many friends, but tends to push too hard.
- She especially wants to "get back" at those who dislike or reject her.
Mivrii is pretty big about people learning lessons, getting what they
deserve, etc.
- She wants to be a victim. She doesn't think she does, but she does.

* Why does Mivrii lie? *
- Well, it is quite a habit, really. She barely knows she does it.
- Foremost, she lies to impress. She exaggerates or conjures stories
or feigns ideals to win the approval of others.
- When friends/strangers inevitably hurt her, Mivrii will plot and
lie to exact her revenge.
- When Mivrii decides she wants something, she comfortably lies to try
to get it.

* Why is Mivrii evil? *
- Poor Mivrii is definitely caught in a bit of a viscious cycle. She lashes
out because she is rejected. She is rejected because she deceives. She
deceives because she wants to be accepted.
- Also, of course, she is a bit selfish.
- Last but not least, she's obviously fairly proud and insecure. She is
ever measuring how much her friends like her.

* Why is Mivrii nice to people sometimes? *
- Aren't you reading? She wants everyone to like her!
- Mivrii quite enjoys the approval she receives when she makes someone
happy. But her efforts are not always quite representative of someone who has
been paying attention sincerely.

* Why is Mivrii chaotic? *
- Her goals are at odds with her nature, and combined with the unpredictable
ways of the world, correspondingly unpredictable outcomes often result.
- She can be very calculated when it comes time to satisfy her pride, but
her insecurity and need for her victims to know it was her who "got them"
them always threaten to derail her plans.
