Roomed cabin of his witless, mute of a mother.

Nargrim had been only a newborn babe since his mother had gone mad from

Nargrim's childhood was not as pleasant as the others boys of his village may
Have been. Since his birth his mother was known as the Village Black. For
Those that were deemed mad were shunned by the others of the village and
Looked upon only as a shadow. But Nargrim knew the evils that some of the
Villagers never noticed. As he grew his mother would have many male
Visitors in the night from the neighboring houses. His mother had become the
Village prostitute for she could do nothing else. The many men that came to
Her cabin in the night had many ways of dealing with his prying eyes. Many
Would just lock him out of his mother's room, some would make him go
Outside to wait by the pigs in the dark but the ones he hated most seemed to
Be his mothers favorites. They were the ones that would beat him into
Unconsciousness while his mother sat in the corner, she never left, cackling
Madly with insane glee.

Chapter 1

Nargrim spent some time in the city of Galadon and learned a bit of its ways
From passing warriors and daring adventurers set out for new found glory.
In his time there he would see the occasional crime happening in the streets
And everytime he would see one lone fighter surrounded by guards come to
Break up the happenings or fight to a mortal death with the criminal at hand.
From the criminals that would die to these tribunals he saw in many of them
The spirit of the men who beat him as a child and wished with all his madness
That he could be the one in there taking out his rage upon them and trying
To steal back a piece of his soul that was lost in his youth.

One eve Nargrim received a missive from the Justiciar of Thera, Melacarfina
Stating that the Spire was looking for a few good men to fill their ranks
And and stave the criminal activities of the city. From the moment he read
This missive, Nargrim set out to join these stalwart warriors of the Spire
And unleash a bit of himself into the criminals.

Chapter 2

Nargrims spents many years in hiding after leaving his village. He found
Himself wandering the forests for some time and venturing into the cities
Here and there to learn from the cities master Warriors. From there he
Took what he had learned from them and put it to use against undead creatures
And Possessed villagers from the surrounding areas of Arkham city. After
A few years fighting and training and becoming the best fighter he could
He set off to the others side of the world in search of a grander city to
Perhaps settle down in and find a trade or maybe a bit of venture.

Chapter 3

When he awoke he was wracked with pain, the man had proceeded to beat
Him when he was passed out. He woke with blood and bruises all over him
But nothing broken. His hands had been unbound and he was lying in the sty
Still with the pigs. He reached his hand up to his neck and found it searing
With pain and still open from the burns. He made his way back to the cabin
And found it hard to keep his head from thrashing wildly to the side from
Time to time. When he got inside he spotted an inkwell near his mother's
Corner and proceeded to up end it onto the floor. He smeared his hand
In the ink and rubbed it all about his neck upon the open wounds of the
Burning chain. He then looked around the cabin as if he had never seen it
Before and he heard moaning sounds coming from his mothers room.
He calmly walked up to the door to his mothers room and quietly opened
It to see his mother straddling the man that had just caused him so much harm.
He then quietly and calmly walked over to his mothers bedside and crouched
To pick up the man's sword from near his pants on the floor. As he rose with
The sword he drew it high into the air with no expression on his face and
Drove it clean through his mother, the man and the bed into the floor beneath.

After he cleaned himself of the filth of the pig sty he quietly gathered a pack
Of bread and water, some traveling boots and the sword from his mother's
Back and set out of the cabin into the woods to never return to his village.

Chapter 4

As Nargrim grew older dealing with the things his mother's madness brought
Upon him, he sought out ways to defend himself from the relentless beatings
And the incessant taunting of other village boys and males. He would leave
The house during the day to hide in the forest near and spy upon the village
Militia as they trained. He would take what he saw and try to fashion it into
His own uses and practice as much as he could to hone his skills in solitude.

During the time he spied upon the militia the beatings he took only grew
Worse and worse. He took them as best he could only biding the time and
Suppressing his rage, for he knew if he lost it now it would mean
Nothing for he had no skill compared to the men that came.

After two years of watching and training Nargrim felt he had reached the
Pinnacle of his fighting style and ability. On that night one of the men
Came to his mother and began to go after Nargrim. Nargrim was ready this
Time. He fought very well compared to the man and had almost bested him
Until his mother reached out and tripped him off balance. With that being
Done the man seized the opportunity and pounced on Nargrim. He drug him
Outside in the night and took the chain from the pigs pen and fastened it
To Nargrim's hands and feet, binding him there. From there he took another
Piece of chain and threw it into a fire near then sat and stared at Nargrim as
He fought to get free. When time had past the man took the chain from the
Fire with metal rods and proceeded to wrap it around Nargrim's neck. As
Nargrim howled and screamed with pain the man leaned in close and took
Nargrim's face tight in his hands and whispered into his ear "Now you are
Branded with the collar like the idiot dog you are." At that moment Nargrim
Passed into blackness.
