Chapter 2

The world outside the shrine was as full of strife as Zurra expected. What
was more of a surprise was how well she took to it. The angelic part of
her nature stirred with a terrible joy in every battle. In the restless
roaming to find enemies there was the warm, encouraging wind at her back.
In the heat of the engagement itself, in the gleaming aura brightening
wicked blood as it spattered around there was the thrill of violence
sanctifed by creation itself. And in the serene moment of stading over a
body victorious, in all of this she was at home, whole, herself.

Role

Chapter 1

Zurra was abandoned as a newborn without explanation by an Ugaard
soldier in the Sky Shrine in Ayr'Trinil. They took her in and she
grew up there with a group of priests and priestesses as a sort of
informal extended family. She was trained at first as a shrine
maiden, performing rituals and ceremonial dances to celebrate
different celestial events, holidays, births and funerals and
marriages and so on. She spent time as well with the paladins,
drilling with weapons and prayers. And it was ultimately this more
violent and direct path that appealed to her. The shrine was
beautiful and she loved her time there and everyone she was close
with because of it. But it was seperated from the world in way. At
the peak of a mountain, far from the concerns of almost anything
below. Even the air was rarified and thin. Her place just wasn't
dancing at the edge of the world, but diving into the heart of it,
struggling with all the wickedness she could find there.
