Tuggluk Stonecutter the Legend of the Battlefield
DescriptionStanding at a stout but seemingly short three feet in height, here is a dwarf The feet are sheathed within cloth and boot, but are rather large. The legs and arms are thick as tree trunks, yet exteremely hairy. The hands are calloused, and clenched in fists most of the time. Working your way up, you notice the stomach is bulging under the shirt. A round, full belly jutts from the torso, harden however, not soft. The chest is muscular, as well as the shoulders, broad for a dwarf. A long, kept and tied beard extends from the chin to the belly. The mouth of the dwarf is normal, but seemingly frozen in a perpetual smirk. The nose is crooked, in at least places chunks of skin are missing. Piercing silver eyes glance around within the skull, examining what is availa The hair is tied into braids, and ectend from the skull down the back. Further inspection shows....

RoleChapter 1 The Rites. Added Sun Mar 13 10:43:50 2005 at level 47:Upon the 12th of the Gods calendar, I was able to partake in a most spectacular, historical event. The Rites of war commenced, and brethren faced brethren in tests of wit and strength. It was a beautiful site and blood was shed, great battles were fought. Gerylanst, that vulture of a singer, although highly respected in my highs, became our New Commander. I would have had it no other way, he deserved it the most. Vershelt became out Drillmaster, another deserving warrior gaining his proper recognition. I did not fare as well as I would have expected, by strength in battle, but the brethren are tough, and I am still younger than them. I usually found myself defeat until our last trial in the Rites, to which I was most succesful. I speak to you of the Rites for one reason only. Beyond being a splendid occasion, it allowed to realize how far I have since that day of the tournament. I have tried to uphold Courage in the most, and I believe it has begun to show. Some enemies fear me, and those who do not shall soon. My great Lord Ordasen has been a wonderous guide, and his religion keeps me on my path. I am glad with how far I have come, but there is still work to be done while this mortal heart beats. But until we meet again, may Courage wash over you and the Great Bear guide you.

RoleChapter 2 War Path. Added Fri Mar 4 12:05:07 2005 at level 36:It has been some time since we last looked at the life of Tuggluk Stonecutter. Many days have passed and lessons have been learned, wise ones indeed. It is quite amazing how quickly Tuggluk has advanced through his guild, but he did learn fast. But more importantly, let us look at his path, how it has been followed so far. With great pleasure, Tuggluk gained the trust and welcoming of the brethren in the Village. As well, Tuggluk has begun to follow that religion of the Great Bear, Lord Ordasen. He gives his life in the pursuit of Courage, gathering mage heads where he can. But the War Path is something all should hold. Regardless of what life is lived, it is important to hold an ideal, a War Path. And to not stray from it. Is this not the meaning of Courage? To stay the path where others would falter? There are victories, and there are losses, and each should be taken with a grain of salt. Victories, like losses, are temporary fluctuations of morale, although important ones indeed. The smallest of victories can sway the largest of battles, that much is certain. But on his path, Tuggluk has meant to discover true Strength, where does it come from? Courage, Wisdom, Strength and Intelligence, all imporatant as stated in the Village. It would seem all are interlinked, and that is what it means to beh a noble warrior. But Tuggluk has much to learn. He learns of the warrior, the Village, and perhaps most important, the Bear. On the Month of the Shadows, his arm burned with cold and pain, to reveal a splendid bear on his wounds. There are lessions to be learned...and the Rites near. What shall be on the War path next? In time, all will be revealed.

RoleChapter 3 Strength in Courage. Added Fri Feb 18 20:32:08 2005 at level 9:Hmm, where to begin my story, that ought to be the question I imagine. There was no wonderous nor tragic childhood in my past. My family was not any chosen profession, we were blacksmiths, brewers, carvers, miners, all the wonderous things that is the dwarven way. Our Village was filled with the wise, and we often had many a traveler to greet. I imagine it could be defined as a 'normal' beginning, if there is such a thing. Yet like many lives, there is a certain event that guides us on our path. Upon my thirtieth birthday, a few kin and I took a trip to a tournament held a few days walk away. This tournament was well known, as it was called the 'Quest for Strength: To the death!". Simply put, many a warrior, fighter, and lover of battle came to test their skills upon the other bests. It was a splendid sight, and the ale flowed freely, wonderously. At the end, a few corpses had been left, leaving all hearts hardened at the sight before us. Finally a winner was declared, stepping forth to claim the sword of Victory. A bright flash arouse, and out walked a figure with the sword, I imagine the supporter of the tournament. After the sword was properly awarded to the victor, to the suprise of many, the winner dropped the sword and gave it to the Gods. And for what purpose?? Such was a large insult to this...glorious looking figure. Even more astounding was the fact that this one warrior defied the figure when there were so many powerful guards about to kill him. Such Courage was incredible for my eyes, and I realized this was the way of life. It was inspiration I felt in my heart, and I knew, I knew I must follow this warrior as much as I could. Regardless, I imagine I should finish the tale. After many an hour that observers stood and watched, the warrior stood, badly wounded in front of the figure. To my surprise, the figure chuckled, muttered a word I could not recognize, and was gone. At that moment, the warrior fell to one knee, leaning heavily on his extremely bloodied axe. By the time I was able to get to him, he was dead, externally on one knee, axe in hand. It was truly a majestic sight, as many things could be learned from the scene. To live by the axe is to die by the axe, and is the noble way of death. Give your life in Courage and you shall be granted true Strength, powering over many a dreaded foe. Never waver in spirit; the body was frozen in death in the meaningful position by will of the soul alone. So from that day, I walk with Courage. I learn much as I walk my way to become such a great warrior, for knowledge is needed in battle. There are beings that walk as I do, and they fight in the ways of Battle. Perhaps I shall seek them out, in my journey. Be well great listener, and live with Courage.
