Sydrian the Legend of the Battlefield

Description

The elven man before you is slightly rough around the edges, rugged and
harsh. He stands tall and strong, his well defined muscles taut beneath
sun-bronzed skin, every exposed inch covered in what appears to be a rune,
glyph, or scar.His tawny hair is tousled and windblown, though he's taken a
moment to sweep it back from his face with a worn leather strap. His face
would be devastatingly handsome, but for the black patch worn to cover his
left eye. A faint, white scar is visible at the bottom edge of the leather
and though it does detract from the traditional elven beauty, it adds
mystery, intrigue and raw appeal.

Chapter 1


The elf in a nutshell
Added Mon Jan 17 22:05:13 2005 at level 35:

Sydrian is not the typical elf.

He is not mischievious.
He is not happy.
He is not loving.
Yet.

He is angry.
He is sad.
He is tormented.

At a young age this introverted and shy elf found love.
His soulmate to be was a fair young elven maiden named
Aranae.She was a minstrel of fair voice and word, but
her true passion was in the visual arts. Using Sydrien
as her canvas, she worshipped to her goddess eshval in a
fashion that was not the typical, tattooing his flesh with
an intricate series of glyphs, runes, and scars. The
scar across his left eye was caused by one of her more
passionate moments(she went insane at the end of her life).

Her life passed in a troubled child birth, Sydrian losing
the only person he ever loved and his newborn daughter at
the same time. A loss he blamed on the goddess eshval.
He got to hold his child in the passing moments of her life
as there had been hope for her recovery, and for for a brief
time he was able to look into her beautiful blue eyes and
tell her how much he truly loved her.

The pain of his loss was almost unbearable for the young
elf. He sat in darkness and despair for weeks thinking
he would not make it. His broken heart taking every last
waking moment, and sleep driven by tormented dreams of
love and loss. The endless pain went on until he found
the courage to step away in an attempt to find new meaning.
He truly had nothing to live for at this point and he wasn't
sure he ever would.

Sydrian holds a special contempt for followers of eshval.
He holds the same contempt for the goddess herself.
He is quiet and shy, often preferring to remain alone.
He has trouble making friends, but the few he does he will
treat well. He will have trouble sharing his life with others,
and will try to keep what he is and what he has been a secret.
It will take a lot for him to open up to others, but once he
does, he will be honest and to the point(venting will make him
feel better). He holds a lot of passion in his heart, and he
is a driven soul when he is focused. His life now is drawn to
finding a purpose to live, and finding a goal to attain.
