Chapter 17

I am rather dissappointed with Targamar. He seemed a promising individual but gave into the Empire.
I have not told him my intention to join the Chasm. We have traveled together for some time. I shall keep
up the facade of friendship and use this one to help in my learning. I will not travel with another
of the Empire unless to slay them in the end.

Chapter 16

I had a dream. It involved cowardice on my part....with myself hiding while others came and destroyed the Nightwalker...destroyed the Archmage.
I watched as those who took the Scepter walked away. A dream...nothing more.
I dreamt of a road of bones deep within a shadow-haunted Mountains of the Dead. It appears to be a place of great evil. I dreamt of a huge cave in the side of the tallest mountain and the evil seemed to come from there. I wonder if it speaks of
the Talshidar. I am uncertain and will have to think upon this further.

Chapter 15

Many things have been happening of late. Kardrath seems to believe he has found a way to fullfill the Prophecy. I do not kow what to make of him. For sure...he cannot be trusted.
The Archmage believes Kardrath has some other purpose or motive...as do I. The Archmage stated that Kardrath has viewed the ritual by other beings.
The Archmage's tone suggested that viewing and actually doing the ritual would be two different things entirely...and believes Kardrath will succeed at summoning....something.
Kardrath asked for my backing...and the Archmage suggested that Kardrath stop what he intends. We shall see what plays out.
It has been hinted that perhaps Kardrath seeks to awaken Nazmorghul. I would be intersted in such an endeavor...but cannot get him to admit to it.

Chapter 14

Many things have transpired of late. It seems Kardrath is no longer within the Chasm. I would still desire to speak with him of his intentions..
I would perhaps help him if only I could find out what he truely does.
Myself and others of the Chasm heading deep into the Underdark....seeking to slay a duergar thief for a stone.
It seems three stones are required...so Kardrath had spoken about earlier...to help bring about the Prophecy.
I slew the spider dragon...and Taidyn picked up the stone...this seemed to irritate Dreaa. She seeks all three stones for herself. I slew the duergar thief as well...and she pikced up the stone from his corpse.
There is supposedly one more stone left...on a dark-elf shapeshifter merchant. I am hopefull I can speak to him first...so that I can gather the last stone.

Chapter 13

The merchant came to me to my guild. I SAW the stone! The merchant advised the stone could only be removed through death. He asked if I carried one and I made him believe I do. He then attacked...then abrubtly fled.
I will have to make sure when next we meet he doesn't leave so quickly...that stone will be mine.

Chapter 12

The Archmage is indeed wise. He advised that his "spies" informed him that myself and the dark-elven mage battled in the guild. I of course lied to him...and denied it while avoiding the question.
I am unsure if the dark-elf mage still holds the stone...I will continue to keep my eyes open for him until I learn of anything else.

Chapter 11

Kardrath spoke to me...asking me to seek two of four stones. One sold to a ruler to make a throne. A second sold to a group of reclusive mages. A third to a man who had his enslaved miners haul it away. The last has already been destroyed....so
it does not matter.
I also found out that the Fortress seeks these items as well....to prevent Kardrath from doing whatever it is he actually wishes to accomplish.
He claims if I help him gather these items....great power shall be mine. We shall see...we shall see.

Chapter 10

Many things have happened since last I penned anything. It appears Kardrath died while trying to complete his task.
Did I even truely intend to help him? I do not believe I had even made up my mind. Either way....the mage apparently changed Aridhol. I have yet to examine what transpired there...in due time.
What irks me most is my exile from the Chasm. I await my return...yet vengence will be mine.
Muuloc has taken the seat of Chancellor. I had thought him a bafoon before...but apparently he is brighter or more cunning then it first appears.
The seat of power should belong to a true mage...not some priest. Things will need to be changed.
Muuloc claims I must speak with Eshval...of course...his Diety. I shall hold my tounge and do what is required. I shall gain entrance among the fold again. It appears Eshval tests me. We shall see.

Chapter 9

I went to speak to the prophet within Hamsah recently. He preaches of the dead God...Nazmorghul. I attempted to speak with him...but he was too intent upon his preaching. I shall speak to him again soon.

Chapter 8

I have found a book...or perhaps it found me. The prophet has remained silent within Hamsah. But this book...speaks of the second God I have found interest in.
The book speaks of great power...and the destruction He will bring to all those who are not worthy.
The book speaks of being able to bind demons and devils to control. Interesting indeed.

Another Dream
I had another dream...but I believe I awoke too soon and failed to grasp the extent of it. I was chasing the enemies of the Chasm outside...and was knocked out. Strange....

Chapter 6

I had offered Eshval the soul of a lightwalker. I doubt such things will pan out...for the lightwalker appears weak of heart and mind. He will no doubt wither and wilt away.
Eshval is constantly greeted among those of the Chasm when Her presence is felt. She has requested that I speak of Her as Muse...or Lady Eshval. I do so...but I assure myself...not out of respect.
I do not acknowlege her presence. I have many ill feelings toward Her for what she put me through...jumping through hoops to regain my entrance into the Chasm.
Perhaps if one of these Dead Gods is awakened...they would grant me the power to....Deal with Her in a different manner.
One can only hope...we shall see.

Chapter 3

The runes found at Azurmain suggest a shield or ward of some sort. The rune has a very small imprint of a golden book or grimoire within the exact center of it...suggesting perhaps the Warlocks are to blame.
I have attempted to use my acidic secreation to burn away the rune...to no avail. All of my attempts of using elemental magic have failed.
There is a robed, shadowy man within a large stone vault found under the keep.
He seems to be preoccupied...and refused any attempt to speak with him.
Near him is found a spiraling oval portal of darkness. It is kept at bay with bands of jagged silver force that arc across its surface.
The silver bands arc out, refusing any attempt to examine the portal any closer. The feeling of light and sky is felt through bands.

Chapter 5

I went to see the High Priest. Surely a being of such power and age would know something of Nazmorghul or Zurcon. The High Priest ramained silent and would not answer my call. I shall attempt to see the High Priest again.

Chapter 4

I have come to the High Priest for the second time to speak to him. I think that he would know something of the spheres...or perhaps even of Zurcon or Nazmorghul.
To my dismay....the High Priest seems to fervent in his work to speak with me. Perhaps he will call on me when he wishes to speak.

I lie...when it suits me. I have many who believe I am not of the Chasm...and many who do not believe my heart is dark as pitch.
I find amusement in others suffering.

Chapter 1

It appears the nightwalkers hunt Akscereh. Odd indeed. We traveled to Maethien and discovered something even more interesting....Kardrath is alive.
We attempted to speak to him...but he would not speak to us. We could not locate him within the ruins.
We even traveled into the lair of the massive nightwalker.....and still no sign of Kardrath.
The elves within speak of him as if they trust him. I heard his voice...it was him...there can be no mistake about that. We shall see what become of this.
