|
Thresinok Bizasqsnok the Devourer of the Broken Order, Nightreaver of Thar-Eris
DescriptionThis creature stands over three horses high, three times the size of a normal human. His skin looks as if it is obsidian, but is sharded and cracked about his whole body. Long, tiny ridges rise and travel lengthwise up his body from head to toe. The ridges look rough and sharp, and seem to reflect the same texture of an old tree, covered in bark, except his skin is opaque and black, with a sheen to it, like polished stone. The top of his head is covered by a massive mop of green and red hair, intermixed to create a strange, but colorful pattern upon his head. The pattern continually changes and moves with whatever force is applied to it. His eyes are also green a dull emerald green, sunken back within his head. The black, rising ridges define his eyesockets and face, his mouth and nose in an almost ancient Theran fashion. It is as if he was chiselled from an unfathomably large piece of cooled lava flow. His movements are defined but slow, but his large, bulging muscles ripple underneath this hard looking covering, revealing he is much stronger than once thought.

RoleChapter 1 Seeking the Ancient Lord Khasotholas Added Tue Jul 27 06:01:10 2004 at level 19:This Thresinok is drawn to this Ancient Lord. The Nok's purpose of Death feeds that of Lord Khasotholas. This one truly understands the way to the perfect and ultimate Order. The steps that must be taken, the sacrifices that must take place, and the brutal and unending focus required to bring it about. This Thresinok is a servant of Order, a stone in the path of Order, the first step of Death before there can be Creation. It is rumored that Lord Khasotholas holds high the swarm of hornets, creatures born from Thar-Eris, their system, their Order a microchasm of Thar-Eris itself. Thresinok must seek this one out. Gain his favor, and bring Death in the name of true Order, in the name of Lord Khasotholas.

RoleChapter 2 The awakening... Added Tue Jul 27 05:53:14 2004 at level 19:Slowly this Thresinok climbs out of a an ancient, dried lava flow. His obsidian skin cracked and ribbed. His eyes slits as he tries to take in what is around him. His first inclination is to find something to burn and destroy and consume, and so he does, gaining strength from it, but something is missing...
The touch of the Ancients is not there. The countless creaking voices of the other Noks only a distant whisper, as if a dream. Something is wrong, where are his brothers and sisters, where are the other Noks?
The home of the Noks, the Forest of Nowhere, nothing but ash. What used to be the thriving nest of the Noks is gone, taken up by some unknown flame. Thresinok is noticeably weak, he was supposed to awaken powerful, strong, ready to take the place of the Bizqnok and Bezqnok that he left behind. But he is nothing more than a child Nok still, as weak as the least spirits of the Ancients. This Thresinok places his hand upon the ashen ground and his mind is filled with images and pain. The burning of the Forest by an ancient lich and the first Empire. The sundering and burning of a powerful natural force through immolation brought upon it by ones called "Tribunal". But this was not cleansing destruction, but spats of destruction bursting forth from simple minds, creatures without true foresight. Attempts at Order that hold nothing to that of Thar-Eris.
His massive handprint left in the ash, he stumbles backward. A voice, one of the voices of the Noks beckons him through a glinting void. Upon reaching the other side, the voices are louder, but still dream-like. He has crossed over into the past and the Forest of Nowhere somehow stands, but it is nothing but a weak replicia of what true Forest was. The voices mutter and mumble of the Ancient reawakening, and that they rally forces somewhere far to the east. That these creatures attempt to rebuild and return us back to Thar-Eris. Thresinok's purpose has not changed, unable to fully tap the power of the Noks, he must find another way to reach full strength. He seeks out to consume and burn, destroy and sunder whatever is in his path, and absorb its strength. And assume again his role in the perfect system of Thar-Eris, that of Death and Destroyer.

RoleChapter 3 True Order compared to False Order Added Tue Jul 27 05:38:28 2004 at level 19:There is true Order, that of the Thar-Eris, and there is false and broken Order, that of man. One perpetuates itself flawlessly and without interference becomes so endlessly intricate and subtble, it becomes the most complex and yet perfectly Ordered society. What I speak is of Thar-Eris. There is a system, within a system, within a system. Countless layers of orderly systems interacting and working, From the tinest of creature to the largest, the Noks there is a reason for each, and a nich for each, and nothing is wasted, all works toward the greater society that is Thar-Eris, and the continuance of Order.
The other, broken and weak form of Order is that is what man attempts to create. This false Order does nothing but wane and wax, with corruption rampant, and unable to look beyond the simple. In-fighting, a failure to even expand beyond itself, it is by far a haphazard attempt at creating something truely Orderly. Leaders of this false Order die off, leaving room for another, who never has the same goals as the last. More time is spent undoing and redoing the same things, and what is left is an outer shell of false words and the innards spiraling out into chaos. Empire or Tribunal, both have such short vision and lack of stability to create anything more than a flash of false Order before such is broken up again by their own interworkings.
Only an overseer, one who does not sway or fall on the wayside because of the ravages of time, and has the endless patience and planning to create such a place, has the ability to create the perfect Order again.
But something must be done with this false, broken, and pathetic Order that flounders upon Thera. Just as a fire burns and destroys, brings Death to all it touches, leaving a barren ground to be molded as needed, such is the way of the Noks. Ancient tree creatures created by the Ancients to have one such purpose: To Destroy and cause Death.
That is their role, place, and purpose within the perfect system of Order, and such that is what and why this Thresinok has awoken again. He is to be the cleansing burn. He will be what this land needs most, he will be Death to everything that stands in the way of the barren, fresh ground. Cities will burn, Imperials will die, Tribunal will be crushed, cobblestone will be torn asunder, and mangled failures kept alive by man will be purged. All will die, that is the Noks purpose and reason to live. They are the Death to allow for Creation.
The first step toward perfect Order is taken with this awakening. That first step is Death.

RoleChapter 4 Before the slumber. Added Tue Jul 27 03:14:53 2004 at level 16:"Greetings to you Bziqnok, how you this day?" I would say to him each day as me walk.
"Fiiinnnneee young Thrresinnnook." He would respond. These ancient tree creatures were always my companions. I was born upon Thar-Eris late, and so the thousands of years before they grew, and I was nothing more than a young Nok as some would call us. The tree creatures were not friendly creatures to those not of the Nok. They crushed and destroyed those they wished it was their part in the perfect Order and cycle of the Thar-Eris. We had our place and that was to destroy what we wished. Hardly ever were we cut down so powerful we were, and so we did our part in the perfect Order that is Thar-Eris.
A time came, Bizqnok and Bezqnok numbered many, and therefore the younger Thresinok was to slumber and wait for a time when it was his turn to do his part in the cycle. So I took to the ancient slumber, not to walk until a beckoning call was sent by other Noks. For uncountless centuries, I slumbered, a lesser spirit, not even close to the greatness of the older Noks, waiting for my time, whenever the Ancients and Thar-Eris sought it was my time to take up my place in the perfect Order that existed.
