Role

Chapter 1

Valkonian walked into his old hometown beyond the swamp. Cloaked in
invisibility he walked unseen right up to the leaders tent and walked in. He
greeted the old man in a polite matter as he slowly faded into existance. The
old human looked up from his papers and grinned slighly, as he noded at
Valkonian.

"Why have you come, Valkonian. You know you arent welcomed here anymore." The
old leader said in a raspy tone. Valkonian looked down at the leader sitting
calmly in his chair and let out a weak chuckle. "Death.." Valkonian said
slowly, while letting his finger move towards the leader as he uttered three
words of dark power. The old man was incinerated, before he could even react
of scream out. Valkonian turned away as he made himself invisible again, and
walked back to the town gate with anticipation in his eyes. Standing with his
back to the gate, he suddenly let out a maniacs laughter, and suddely turned
facing the town. Valkonian started throwing fireballs into town, setting
everything ablaze. He watched as the people who once was his friends run
around burning, screaming, many died at his feet as they tried to exit
through the wall of fire he had set infront of the gate.

Suddenly Valkonian noticed a man come walking nearly unharmed right through
the inferno in the village. He was unaffected by the lashing tongues of the
inferno. Valkonian smirked in amusement when the figure came closer,
revealing itself to be his father. "You are not the only one who control the
elements at your will, Valkonian. You killed everyone I held dear, you are no
longer my son." The old arial said with sadness in his voice. "Do you really
think I would let these fools and farmers let anyone else in on the ritual of
death? The knowledge of the potential power is mine, and mine only. That
means you will have to die.. father. Your corpse shall be a suiting source
for the ritual it seems." Valkonian uttered in slow confidence, before he
unleashed a terrible stream of acid onto his father and followed up with a
rain of iceneedles. The stream was absorbed, but the needles hit the old
arial hard. "I will not let you have such an easy victory, be assured,
Valkonian, we shall meet again when im at full strenght." Valkonians father
uttered quickly as he staggered back from the blow of the needles. The old
arial, known as Reinzart, uttered a few words of power and vanished..

Valkonian groaned as he turned away from the torched village, and walked back
out into the swamp.

Role

Chapter 2

There is a belief in the old village hidden west of the deep swamps of
Ysigrath. The belief state that if someone die at by your doing, some of the
victims life force is transformed into yourself, that is if you complete a
ritualistic sacrifice. The sacrifice itself is a well kept secret, only known
to the former or current resistents of the hidden village. To the unteached
it looks like you burn the mark of your hand into the forehead of the victim,
but there is more to it. The secret lays in the whispered words of dark
magic. This have a price though, with each drained spirit your own soul move
towards true darkness.

Valkonian is a firm believer in this shadowy ritual, it is what led him to
leave the village. The occational K'sra and Sz'weh slaves captured while
wandering in the swamps, did not clench his unmatched thirst for power and
destruction.

During his travels Valkonian has come over scrolls, conserning a group of
people who hold darkness close to their hearts. Their destructive power famed
across Thera, leaving corpses behind everywhere they go. Valkonian wish
acceptance among them, for he sees it as an oppertunity to harvest more power
than he ever could do on his own.
