Chapter 1

Saayayse always worked in a very orderly fashion. Her thought process was
systematic as well. Having determined what she feared the most, the next
logical step for her was to determine what she must do to avoid her greatest
fear from occuring. She also realized that the exact opposite of her feared
result would be what she wanted to do with her life. To leave a legacy of
creation, and hence be ready for death, when it comes.

Saayayse was still very young but she had heard of a grand Empire taking over
Thera. Spreading order throughout the Realm. That was exactly what she wanted
to be a part of. She realized that her goals would only be reached through
order. She would seek to serve the Empire with such excellence as to one day
be able to lead it. Through this journey her actions would help strengthen
the empire, spread order and civilization, and that would be her legacy.

She would not only seek to become the Empress of Thera, she would also seek
to become Lord Khasothalos', the Lord of Order's, more favoured disciple.
Those two goals, when attained, would mean she has accomplished what she set
out to do in her life. Death will be most welcome then, and she will be
ready.

Role

Chapter 2

An old woman, her face wrinkled and her eyes dim, sits alone in relic of a
house waiting for death to embrace her. No one seems to care, there is no one
that even knows her name. Her life will leave behind no legacy. Her life has
had no meaning. After all those years of pain, isolation, and meaningless
existence, her eyes are too dry now to shed a tear as she sits there in her
self pity. She has thought about taking her own life many times, but each
time she has thought of it as a cowardly act and persevered. Her eyelids
become heavier and heavier and she tries to keep them from shutting for the
last time. The last reserves of her energy worn out, she gives into death.
Then there is complete darkness...

Saayayse wakes with a sharp scream, panting for breath. Her body and clothes
full of sweat. That was the fourth time this week she has had that nightmare.
The pain she felt in the dream lingers throughout the day, something very
uncomfortable. Something dreadful, but she cannot quite put her finger on it.
Is it just the fact that she sees her self dieing of old age. Is death what
frightens her?

After much thought she realizes the truth about her fears. She fears nothing
more than living a meaningless life and not leaving behind a legacy. She must
be rememebered. Through her actions, and more importantly, through her
creations.
