So I was fighting an NPC bard and he sings Canticle of the Gods in combat and I get buffed. This might happen with other bard songs too. Here is the log.

An angsty arial patron sings 'But I'll confess my guilt to thee,
And grieve for all my sin;
I'll mourn how weak my graces be,
And beg support divine.'

The solemn canticle leaves you feeling somber yet blessed.
An angsty arial patron is convulsing on the ground.

You parry an angsty arial patron's punch.
An angsty arial patron's punch mauls you.
Your sting MUTILATES an angsty arial patron!
Your sting MASSACRES an angsty arial patron!
An angsty arial patron is DEAD!!
You receive 0 experience points (40% bonus).
An angsty arial patron's leg is sliced from his dead body.

You are affected by:
Song: 'canticle of the gods' modifies save vs spell by -6 for 27 hours.
Song: 'canticle of the gods' modifies hit roll by 2 for 27 hours.

From my understanding a number of bard songs can buff your enemies, and can play into when you *should* sing things.

Same being true of NPCs.

But I'm not SUPER confident in the above, so please correct me if I'm wrong and I'll look more into it.
