#65, "December 13 - By (multiple) request: Dodge"

I've had a few emails/posts asking for specifications about Dodge. Again, this is probably info that many vets already know, but perhaps newer/medium range players did not.

Thanks again to Daevryn, as I asked him if I was forgetting any factors in dodge and he was kind enough to point out a couple things.

Factors for dodge (skills like wilderness familiarity notwithstanding):

1. Skill
2. Current (not max) dexterity
3. Carry Weight

Best you can get:

1. 100%
2. 25
3. 50% Max

Anything over 50% Max is a sliding scale - that is, 51% is almost as good as 50%, 60% is still pretty good, and so on.

Dodge cares some about how well you know the weapon you're dodging, though not as much as parry cares. Some weapons are a little bit easier to dodge than others. I do not have specifics on this, but in general I believe that the larger the weapon, the easier it is to dodge it.

Come back tomorrow for another post! Have something you'd like to see me post about? Email me at twist@carrionfields.com.
