most people would have no idea what a nightgaunt is, or what the screaming guards are for. You have to put in stuff that explains a log a bit to someone who has no idea whats going on. Like "the law cabal is at war with the battle ragers (haters of magic)...or that Shroud of the Unspoken is the HQ room of the Evil Magic cabal called Scion and Asin is an arial invoker Scion who tries to defend against me..etc."

Try to look at it as if you know nothing about the game, or what cabal is what and give a short identity of the characters involved as well as their class/race/alignment. Also what you were doing fighting them.
