Chapter 8

As the months go by Shami is now a common sight on the Hamsah Mu'Tazz market
square. Where before she avoided attention like the plague, she now revels in
it. Beguiled by this marvelously colored little Gnomish girl and the spectacle
she offers, folk happily toss some coins into the hat at her feet. As the sun
begins to set Shami grabs it and it's contents, a broad grin on her face, as
she walks towards the Drunken Efreeti, quite pleased with today's haul.

Well acquainted by now with that little girl with the colored lines on her
body, Habib -the patron of the Inn- says to Shami "Looks like you had a good
day again! Finally going to order that lamb?" With a smirk Shami responds
"Well, we will just have to see about that. How about we start with a cup of
that spiced wine of yours?". After she receives her order Shami walks to her
usual table and begins to drink.

A mere moment later a dark shadow approaches, towering above Shami. Determined
and elegantly the figure sits down on the bench opposite of her. Now well
within the glow of the candle on the table, Shami can see that the figure is a
man with a remarkably pale skin and contrasting ebony hair.

Softly the man says "You seem to be quite pleased with yourself, yet you show
no true understanding of the powers you wield." Sizing up Shami as he says
that, the man continues: "My name is Treelezkian Rothston and I can help you.
All you have to do is come with me to Galadon where you will be trained, so
that I can help avoid yet another tragedy".

The man orders a cup of the same spiced wine Shami is drinking and the two
talk for a while. When the conversation ends Shami pays for both cups and
follows Treelezkian to the Galadon Invoker Guild.
