day a group of black knights like those that Wunger had, according to
Wungerian lore
bested before being marked a traitor had arrived at the village and began to
do what they
did best, raped, looted, and killed. Unger attempted to strike down the black
knights but
was quickly beaten down by them and soon blacked-out, Unger woke up sometime
later.
Wungeria was no more, but mere ruins and a memory, the people dead, the
chapel destroyed
even the "Stinkybeard saloon" was demolished. Unger had failed his people and
while searching
for survivors came across only one, his father Darrius Wunger III, "Father, I
have failed you!
Our people! Wungeria..." Darrius nodded "It be alright my son, they was
stronger den us, you
fought bravely, just like Darrius Wunger da first! Dat all dat matters, son."
"But, You must
avenge us! The filthy mages of thera bring nothin' but death to us all you
must give them
payback for all the tings they done to us! to You! Wungeria!" Unger nodded
slowly, tears
dripping from his eyes "Stop cryin' ya sissy! What would yer Great great
grandfather tink?"
"Wear that skull with pride and deal death to those damned mages boy! Go now
boy!" his
father shouted as Unger departed from what once was. Unger set off to avenge
his village,
but first he headed to Akan to set things straight with the King and clear
Darrius Wunger the first's name.
