Chapter 3

Niraada had gained much knowledge of herself after she became
a Sentinel of the Outlanders. Eventhough she felt she knew
more about nature and herself, she ultimately craved more of
the knowledge that she learned about herself, spells, and of
everything in existence. She sought out Joihe as she had made
the determination to do in her cabin and was able to speak to
her. Joihe suggested that each who sought a place in the group
known as the Cadre needed something they sought, a reason to
adventure and gain. It made sense, then, that Niraada sought
more and more knowledge. To this end, Joihe told Niraada to
return with a piece of knowledge that was secret, something
that might be provided to one that deserved it.

As Niraada learned more of Thar-Eris, she realized how, even
though the arial of the city she was born in had some peace
with nature, they were not entirely without the need for order.
She saw the fact that there were queens and kings and mayors
walking about the city and those that were abhorrent to the
ways of Thar-Eris set up there that made her realize her home
and the kin there were not to be trusted... some even to be
destroyed. She determined then that while she would not go
out of her way to hunt down her kin, she would feel little
concern beyond pity for those who have not freed themselves
if they were caught in her spells. Sometimes, Niraada has
learned, force is the only way to free those who are the
misguided ones.
