Chapter 5

I know it is very early in my life to be thinking of my death, but many of my
guild have waited too long and passed of old age. Old age is a death that is
so revolting and disgraceful to the Necromancer guild, that it should never
happen to any at the pinnacle.

The possibilities and implications do linger in the back of my mind as to
what I will do when my time to act and follow a path of becoming arrives. I
know I will naturally seek out the lich that has aided others in the becoming
first. I have no interest in settling for a lesser becoming unless I am
forced to prevent my death. A lesser becoming would be the path of a mummy,
an easier transformation from the texts and legends I have researched say
about it. The last path and perhaps not even a choice for myself would be to
turn myself in to a Wight. I have read of how that form has no love for Order
or civilized behaviour, an unthinkable outcome at this point in my life. Yet
I wonder how far would I go to gain what I want? What will I do for the
creation of my lasting name? Yet I cannot say for sure that any of the
becoming will not change myself to the core. I shall not dwell on this matter
anymore till the correct time in my life.

For now I will grow as I need to both in the guild and the Spire, till I feel
I have to become more so that I am remembered in this land for all of time.
