Chapter 3

Much has happened since Shravthar first became an adventurer and left the halls of the
academy. He has met with and spoken with his chosen god, Akresius, even though it was
pretty short, it was awe inspiring, even more than he'd anticipated. THere's also been
both victory and defeat, in many forms. And of course there were the Rites of War!
It's almost overwhelming, but the saving grace has been the feeling of inclusion in the village
that he now thinks of as family. Especially from Grimghal who he worried would resent that
Shravthar voted against him at the end of the Rites. Shravthar's upset he didn't get a bit
more respect from the Rites, but he consoles himself with eyes on the future, and in growing
into someone who would be considered a strong choice for leadership.

He's definitely impressed by some and less impressed by others. Mostly e is impressed by
people who fight their own fights, and not impressed by those that don't. He knows sometimes
his annoyance at their ugliness leads to some unpleasantness, but not too much, he's pretty
good at ending it quickly if it starts. He also is hoping his suggestions to Torzen and Grimghal
and the gods Verathi and Jormyr will be considered seriously. He will take it personally if
they are not, and it might cause a bit of festering resentment. Unsure how strong.

Finally he's definitely motivated to make up for his many earlier mistakes. He doesn't expect
perfection or even close, but he should be more aware of how battle flows and dances and
that there are always ten ways to a goal, and needing to know which are more pleasing and which
are more dull is important, because victory without purpose or joy is ashes.
