Chapter 2

Mela will never forget the first time she met Lora. They were instantly
friends. Side by side, they gained within their guild, and fought many
battles. They were a good team to say the least. Mela came to love Lora and
longed for her when she was not about. Lora was family to Mela and their
friendship could not be broken.Mela would never forget when Lora let down
her guard and hugged her. It was one of her most memorable moments. Lora
made her promise, never to die for Lora. Mela did not wish to make such a
promise, but she new it would comfort Lora so she promised. Mela held to
this promise, even if it broke her heart to see Lora fall. As Mela grows
older and weaker, she finally knows fear. She does not wish to leave Lora or
the Spire behind. Her last death is her greatest fear, but she is comforted
in knowing she has achieved her goals.
