I don't see kobolds ever being a playable race snd that makes me sad.
So I have a proposition. Kobolds are greedy little dudes so what if an enterprising ringleader of a parralel kobold adventuring group offered their services to the adventurers of thera? Through him you could employ (low level) mercenaries. This would be a small mob of tiny kobolds that would function as a singular mob, think like the various bees or mosquitoes mobs in the world, they would be very weak but constantly yipping and yelping and passively attempting (but rarely succeeding) to steal gold from the owner. Anytime they were ordered to speak they would always say the line in caps, perma deaf to that effect?
He, or depending on how the merc system works a secondary mob would sell a "kobold dog" which is actually just a kobold that is on hands and knees and has had dog fur glued to his scales. Randomly yells "WOOF WOOF!" or "BARK!" To ensure everyone knows he's a dog and not a kobold. Ideally this would be a pet and not a merc so you could have both concurrently.
Both mobs would he super weak and just for flavor, not anything that would really give anyone an edge in lowbie pvp.

Umi doesn't really know where this is going.
I'm slightly confused too - though I'm not adverse to the idea of a 'swarm' merc. The problem is we have no system for that. We don't have any code in place that makes something act like a swarm in a way that would make it a unique mercenary aside from it being called "a swarm of x".
If the latter is the goal, I'd rather leave that up to an area author to create. If the former, that's a big system to craft up and more than a Santa wish can survive.
As to the dog one.... Woof.

The idea was for a single mob. The only distinguishing characteristic was that it would be using plural pronouns, thanks.
