97, You maybe aren't understanding...

The total number is part of it, but the number of different imms that xpadd is also part (and possibly more important).

To clarify a bit, getting 1 xpadd of 2000 from an imm is not nearly as helpful as getting 20 100 xpadds, even from that same imm (because you receive edgepoints for each time someone xpadds). Sure, it'd be great if you got 20 1000 xpadds, but that's not likely to happen.

When you factor this plus the fact that you get a bigger bump if it's an imm who hasn't xpadded, a long-lived character *might* do pretty well. Grabbing a char out of the Premium BF like Ruknubuk, for instance - this char had 8 xpadds or so. I know that not all of them came from the same imm - in fact, since the char was so entertaining for people to watch, I'm guessing he got xp from probably at least 4 imms.

Because it was spread out like that, it was worth way more in terms of edge points received than if he'd had a patron god(dess) who gave him every xpadd he ever got - even if he'd gotten twice as much total from that god(dess).

As to your last question - I've had some success with chars that tried to interact with multiple imms and some not-so-success. Obviously the bigger the immstaff, the more likely you are to have different imms reading role entries and xpadding for them, for instance.

If it is clear to an Imm that you're coming to them solely to try to get an xpadd to farm edgepoints, it's not likely going to go well for you. :P
