Could there be more of an incentive/reward for the Fortress leadership positions?

For the Maran side specifically since it is the only experience I have, the leader weapon has a big cool factor, but the usefulness is short lived when they can lightforge, especially for non-melee characters. Working with the hordes of Fort Apps can be a chore at times, and the work could be a lot smaller of a pill to swallow if you knew you were not just helping the guild, but also keeping a useful incentive in place.

The idea that comes to mind is to perhaps open both sets of powers to the Fortress leaders only, so Acolytes gain Maran powers, and vice versa. But the creative prowess of the staff never ceases to amaze me, so really anything that you might think appropriate would be totally awesome
