16, A different idea for "maxing" limited items.

I'm guessing (From what I've heard of the stats and what I've seen myself under player info) that the numbers in CF have been quite stabel the past few years. But it seems as if we're constantly on the border if there's to for example 1-2 or items of some certain limited items.

This causes a lot of "chromatic flames". I have two ideas as a solution for this.

Idea 1: Raise or lower the pfile cap (I am right when I think it's based on pfiles right?) so that a large influx of pfiles would be needed to affect it? In whatever direction that is more balanced.

Idea 2: Remove the automation, make it a manual thing to toggle for some high level imm, so that when he sees that there has been a change that would currently make things go poof, but he can also see that it was just a single day ago there was another influx he can hang on for a bit to see if the pfiles doesn't increase again after a few days.

This thing with chromatic flames are a neccecity, I know that. But it is one of the more annoying things in CF, walking into a death trap or teleporting in to some badass mob, and poof, you see 1-4 items disapear in chromatic flames. Sure, we'd see that with these two ideas as well, but hopefully not as often. (It has happened basically on every second death on my last two chars, I am only exaggrating slightly. heh)

Anyways, no idea how hard this would be, or if it's something that you might consider. Thank you for another year of Zanta Zulg!

As I've said repeatedly...there is nothing different these days other than you can be 100% sure that it disappeared due to being over the limit. Looking through the logs things are disappearing at a fairly standard rate.

Please never suggest taking something automated and making it manual. That's more administrative work for a staff that has enough work as it is, and one that I'd rather spent it's time interacting/advancing the game instead of being the police.
