Please let paladin communes that affect the entire group affect cabal members in the same room too?
If this is too much, how about just letting Escape of the innocent be cast in combat? I'm not sure why it can't be, as word of recall can, and it's just mass word with remove curse. As it stands, there's little reason to use escape at all.

Get them in your group, and they'll be affected.
