8863, Druids

I recently made a druid as my first empowerment class and I've been trying to work through it. The problem is there arnt very many older druids to ask for advice. I was wondering if anyone with experiance with this class could give me some advice on tactics. What is the best way to fight as a druid, and how should I gear? Also any insight into where I can find different herbs and what they do would be appreciated. Thanks

There are a hell of a lot of druids at the moment.

As far as finding herbs goes, you just go to different wilderness areas, try the skill a few times, and see what you come up with. Bear in mind that some areas yield more than one sort of herb, and some areas have wilderness that you might not expect.

As far as tactics goes, well, basically, you have stuff like entangle to drop dex and moves, stuff like spikegrowth to further drop dex. Fireseeds/Sunray/Thorns for raw damage, thornheart to drop strength (I think) and to deal lots of damage over a long time, or to herd them to a place they'll go to remove it.

In pk, you might choose to go with some curative herbs to heal yourself in between dishing damage, or offensive, to make your already nasty supps that much nastier, or defensive to minimise damage to you, or natural (I think) to beef up your nature mobs like treants etc. Utility perhaps if you are in a large group and want to give everyone nice frenzies and blesses etc.

You can mix and match for flexibility, or you can focus on one kind of herb (because as you increase in rank you can gather more) as I believe they have a sort of exponentially increasing effect if stacked.

You also probably want to make good use of carapace and barkskin at lower level to keep ac down, and the anti-lag skills of flight and armor of thorns in low/mid levels.

Pretty sure you will get the hang of it by experimentation though. The helpfiles are not too bad.
8875, Thornheart drops a small amount of stength and dex.

It seems that Druids are good for limiting mobility and dexterity.
8866, Which still qualifies it as the rarest class. n/t

I've never seen so many druids at one go in my CF life. You sure there aren't many veteran druids? Look again.
8864, I'm not sure what time you play

But there are more active druids than I've ever seen right now.
