8695, Orc hierarchy

Despite all the discussions if Orcs are to weak or just fine in theyr current state I want to bring up another thing that I think is missing.
Orc have no options at the moment to enforce theyr hierarchy onto lower ranking members. It seems that not even the Chief has any options to make sure others (out of his pk range) follow orders...

Has someone a good idea to solve this problem?

How about something akin blackbail/anathema skill for chieftain?
Which would affectively kick stupid orc out of the village?

They loose ability to use orc channel. Maybe titled as rejects.
Recall point is moved to this orc refuge next to goblin village.
And if they try walk into the orc village, guards will attack them on sight.

Just an idea,

-=NNNick=-

PS How about giving orcs fourth attack on rank 50?
This will give orcs insentive to rank and actually help them fight heroes?

The orcs are played buy a hand ful of people how think saying

ORC! ORC! ORC!

Over the clan channel is good Role Play.

I can't enjoy playing an orc because it is so obviously the same people playing them every time I have to delete because they are anything but orc-like.

In fact, they are (C/2) + S Where C= Chaotic and S = Stupid.

In other words they aren't even good enough to be Chaotic stupid.

This is of course my opinion, but once upon a time they were my favorite Melee class. Now they are just unfun because of who you are stuck playing with.

When in the Orc village, the orc chieftain should be able to get his guards to give a lower orc a good kicking on his behalf.

Can either be used as a one off to teach the youngster a lesson or if he's too cocky then it can be used everytime he's seen in the village. That'll soon make him follow bosses orders.

Sounds nice but I am not sure how prone to abuse this would be...

As much as you'd like to encourage an attempt to overthrow you.

Orcs are not orderly, so getting them to follow orders shouldn't do. PK is the simple way, when orcs that are in your range are concerned, but you'll need to be more creative with orcs that are not in your range. You could try some kind of reward for obedience-tactic. The young orc knows he might get something nice if he does as you say, so there is a reason to be obedient. Also, the two of you might go ganking in later life, so there is a good reason for him to stay in good terms with you.

But if you want to use stick instead of a carrot, you'll just have to be more creative, such as asking someone to kill the young disobedient orc.

Sure, but they should follow orders because the other guy is ten times stronger.

This could work but I somehow think its not very orc-like. But still something to think about...

As soon as he reaches your range its no problem.

But he could do the same...

Some do, some don't. If you want to increase your infuence in the clan, you'll need to figure out a way to punish those who don't. And what could you possibly want from a lowbie orc anyway?

Reward for obedience. Not just giving stuff because you are nice, as you aren't. It's more like helping the young orc get some better gear so that he can PK that elf player and you'll get to make an elf banner from his corpse.

Let's assume that you are third guy who is asked. Will you go to PK the chief orc just because some orc lowbie who doesn't have much to offer to you asked? However, if you are lowbie and the orc chief tells you to PK some lowbie orc, this is your good chance of getting in good terms with a powerful orc, while the lowbie himself has relatively low power, and might never rank to your range, as many orcs delete before getting into hero range. This being said, doing the same will be more difficult for the lowbie orc.

For example make him stop taunting me, the chief or the clan in general. But besides that you are probably right, I agree with the rest of your points.

If you aren't one of them, you aren't going to have any decent Orc interactions.

This changes from time to time, but for what ever reason, two week can't go by with out these stupid bastards rolling up again and Orc-orcing the channel to death.
