8561, CF overpoweredness: List of things overpowered on CF

Dirt Kick: I really think this skill is ridiculously unfair and not to mention down right disrespectful of the various janitorial services available in the game. No matter where you go there seems to be dirt available to kick, and there is no way around it. I even wore some glasses the other day, hoping to avoid dirt from the warrior I was about to fight. What ever happened to the reflexive closing of eyes or even turning of head. Overpowered I say!

Hide: Oh please... such a totally unrealistic and overpowered skill. Once you perfect it there is no chance of it failing.. not to mention your character could be lit up like a farkin christmas tree and still he can just step into the shadows in the middle of the damn day. I think if they are wearing glowing items there should be a chance of them getting caught while hiding. And every piece of glowing eq you wear increases the chances of you getting caught.

Sneak: Ever see a thief wearing a full set of darkened platemail and sneaking around town. Try it at home see how well that works. Sneaking should only be allowed if you are wearing less than 3 pieces of metallic armor, and ofcourse you shouldnt be able to sneak if you are wearing metallic boots. Ya dig? unrestricted sneak = overpowered

Weapons: Why is it that weapons never slip and fall from a chars hands. No one is pefrect all the time.. sometimes your palms get sweaty, sometimes that the blood from the nasty cut on your arms makes your hand slippery, sometimes you just band your elblow against something. There should be an "Oopee" code for all melee combat, where accidental things outside your control get you deadified double quick. Slipping on a banana peel.. oopee, Weapon sliping from hand and cutting off foot.. oopee. You get the point...

Merchants: If it is possible to steal from merchants.. ie Being a dishonest customer. Why don't we have dishonest merchants in the game. When was the last time someone was ripped off by a shopkeeper, ever get a pie that poisoned you? Why not? Ever have an evil merchant shaft someone just for the fun of it? Why not? Where is the evilness?

Thats all for now.. I have a hunnered different things I want to talk about, but i think we ought to open up the lines of communication with the imm staff before we get right down to the meat and potatoes of this issue.

Ya heard?

There are rooms in which there is no dirt to kick. Thus, finding dirt to kick is a sign of poorly conducted janitorial services. Therefore, dirt kicking being disrespectful serves right the lazy janitors who left the dirt there to be kicked in the first place. :D

The gist is it's a friggin' game. Enjoy it and stop asking why.

For a lot of these, the answer is "the fun stick". Why don't characters have to take dumps and pee? Why don't they sleep at night and wake during the day? If you're not injured and sleeping for health, how come you can stay awake for WEEKS AT A TIME? How come you NEVER have to change your clothes or take a bath? How come a given peice of armor can fit a giant AND a gnome? How can you send a tell to someone you've never met half-way across the world? Why is every female character athletic, curvy and has big boobs?! (except for that one Scion chick that was fat a while ago...)

Sometimes, there's a difference between "realism" and "good for the game". We strive for realism whenever we can, but first and foremost, the game has to be fun to play. If we made it like real life in every respect, I think I can safely say it wouldn't be any fun.

I've played fat girls before. They weren't as popular, except among the giants. For some reason, they just like more junk in the trunk.

Not too different from real life, that! (Except that big booty giant part.) You can add dragons, magic, and evil gods, but men are still delightfully shallow.

Obviously bosomy is another issue altogether, but I don't think it's out of line that almost all adventurers in Thera are fit. Finding a fat one should be almost like finding a fat gazelle. The out-of-shape gnome invokers get run down by lean track-star-like dark elf warriors (wearing all that excellent dark-elf-only +move equipment, of course) on the Eastern Road. Panting and out of breath they cough and crawl desperately away, to no avail. There is no respite for these portly little men as they are cut down as they fail to escape their speedy pursuers.

Sounds like a new reality show on Fox.

"He's a fat gnome wizard, she's a bossomy dark-elf warrior. What would happen if the two were to marry? Blood will spill, corpses will be charred, and in the end, one will get a million copper. Premiering May 22 on Fox, Who Wants to Marry a Small Fat Spell-Flingin' Gnome?"
