First off, how about special portals at the academy entrance, that will lead to all the major cities recall points?
Second, locate object.. How about when casting it, you instead take out a 'pocket crystalball (tm)' and see the object thru it?

Why? Purely a cosmetic change or would that change the spell at all?

purely for cosmetic purposes.
I'm glad in recent time that CF has been paying a lot of attention to the cosmetic appearance of CF it's a vital thing (Valg's corpses for example, some new emotes on skills)
