I was just thinking about some conspiracy's that have been floating around in my mind for a while. I giggle about them often, and I wondered how silly they may sound if typed out. I figured some of you might get a kick out of them as well.

Let it be known that some of these I WHOLE HEARTEDLY believe to be true, and some even I find down-right silly. I'll leave it to you to decide which is which.

#1) I believe Ray/Bear and Nep had favorites and would boost these favorites characters in ways that they may not even have noticed. honestly, I'm not even sure this is a conspiracy anymore...

#2) I believe the IMMS intentionally crashed and wiped CF to get rid of Ahtieli. (Thanks btw)

#3) I believe the shadow cabal exists and FURTHERMORE I believe Satebos and Malchazzar are a part of it. The question is: wtf are they doing? Like do they just walk around and look at people? is that fun?

#4) I believe there is an elaborate Russian perma that goes all the way to the TOP! You heard me! I believe Umiron is in on it! Hell, he might be the ring-leader. I can't figure out why, though. Maybe they used Russian hacking to get some dirt on him. or maybe they paid him off. I dunno the why part, yet. Also, believe it or not, I don't think Beront is in on it.

#5) A while back I was playing a necro (Eudessa) and Twist was playing a Maran thief. Well one day I was walking along, minding my own business, when WHAM I'm getting tripped by said thief. I barely made it out with like 100 his, and teleported. Then I went and hid in a pretty unnoticeable location. Within 3 ticks, Twist's thief shows up and kills me. Here's the conspiracy part: I think he used secret IMM powers to locate me. He said someone told him my location, and to be fair, there was some dingus in the area when I ran to hide, but in such a short amount of time that dingus managed to be aware that Twist's thief was online, tell him my location, and Twist was able to get to me in less than 3 ticks... Seems fishy, to say the least. Don't worry Twist, I'm not upset...... Anymore ;)

#6) I believe the IMM's know who my characters are at all times, and treat me differently. Sometimes good, sometimes bad.

#7) I believe Umiron has dirt on Ray/Bear and Nep, and that's how he was able to usurp them. (Thanks btw)

#8) I believe wands were changed, at least in part, to piss off my character (Eudessa) at the time.

I think that's all of them. Thoughts? Am I just crazy? I'll admit, that's at least a possibility. :)

I do love a good conspiracy, and a good laugh. This post only fills one of those needs. lol

I will say that, in my short time as an Immortal, I have found everyone to be some pretty stand up people. Busy, hard working, and all of them are here to do their best in providing interactions, mechanics, troubleshooting, and just all out fun for an ancient game that we all fell in love with at one point or another. Most, if not all, are multi-tasking on a day to day basis with CF, and work at the same time.

It is inevitable to have people angry, or jaded in a place where you gather more than one person at a time, and many of these conspiracies come from those people who felt they were treated unfairly, when it was really more of a situation of an immortal making a decision that went against what the player wanted. This made them mad, and boom Baer/Nep stole all my pies and plagued me, ON ALL MY CHARACTERS ALL THE TIME.

And I believe you about the staff. I just think it's funny how our brains (or maybe just my own?) plays tricks on us and looks for answers in strange places.

That there were 15 bullets when the post was first posted, but someone has edited it to remove all the real stuff.

I honestly believe this has more to do with certain players learning how to play successful (if cookie-cutter) followers / caballed characters to capitalize on an immortal who was around a lot and didn't set the bar too high, which most players prefer as far as I know. YMMV.

That's quite the accusation to level at the only Implementor to ever be universally liked: Zulghinlour. Literally the only person at the time with the access to do that. But yeah, let's go with your theory. Am I comparatively cooler now? No? Damn..

Shadow is still in the cabal_table, yes. We don't tend to delete code... ever... sadly. Jesus, what a messy codebasse.

I paid hookers to pee on Obama's furniture while I watched, and, when confronted by the Russian hackers in possession of the grainy cellphone footage to prove it I bribed a MI-6 agent to frame Donald Trump.

Beront I'm not sure about either, but I agree we should get to the bottom of it.

Most of us can't see IPs. I can. Now I know who you're playing because I just looked (I feel played). Your history would suggest you're wrong. As far as I can see nobody gives a #### about you.

This sounds very plausible to me if I put myself in the shoes of someone who knows as little as you.

The post was more of a silly musing than an accusation. I guess it just got taken the wrong way. The Obama furniture part was hilarious.

I have not laughed so hard... in a REALLY long time. Especially for #8....

In summary: I felt it would be more respectful to respond like this instead of just deleting this thread that serves no real purpose and won't do anything helpful for the game. Someone else may come along and just delete it anyways.

I even said in my post that I find them funny as well. Everything is always taken so seriously over here on this board. I figured a silly conspiracy thread would lighten things up a bit.

Like you slipped in 2 real questions you wanted to know if you could casually get someone to confirm because apparently you're super obsessed with needing to 'be right' or validated for your crappier characters. Some of your characters are good.

Umiron pretty much nailed answering your 2 questions as well.

They are all 'real' in that they float around in my mind from time to time. But they are also silly because even I realize how dumb they sound. And no, I was not trolling. I felt the post was relatively clear on intent, but I was apparently mistaken.

Never try to be anything but either A) apologetically stupid or B) outright trolling.
